Great location. Luxurious feel. Very special.
Choice for breakfast was running low

Our room was right on the Grand Canal and it was so much fun to watch all the activity. A special bonus was the rooftop seating area; it had a fabulous view and was a great place to have a glass of wine and enjoy the sunset. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. A boat ferry bus stop from the train station (4 stops away) is a short walk to the hotel. Gondola rides are conveniently right outside the property.
We were not informed that we had to pay cash for tax at the end of our stay and as such we were stressed as we did not have adequate cash and they did not allow credit card payment.

Very clean beautiful old property
Breakfast particularly the hot selection was v disappointing. Tasteless scrambled eggs , sliced and overcooked frankfurter sausage and very fatty bacon that often ran out. Nobody available to serve drinks from the bar.

The breakfast was ok. The location the best part
We heard the rooms were all different. Some had suites. Our room was very small with no place tositnotherbthan the bed and one desk chair. Very little window light and lighting was poor. The bathroom was very small and the shower did t even have a soap dish to place any soap or shampoo and it had to be balanced on the faucet or placement the floor. The curling also had a huge mark I. The corner where there had been a leak and maybe mold. The staff was not super friendly or knowledgeable about surrounding restaurants and shops
