Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. Excellent location in Cannaregio but on fringes of San Polo. The room was stylish with a good shower and comfortable bed. The lighting was good. Staff at the Hotel Ca d’Oro were friendly and very accommodating and helpful when we had questions or requests. Useful information was provided beforehand. Nice touches like a few little treats in the room and option to fill up your water bottle from a machine. 15 minutes walk to St Mark’s Square but Cannaregio is also lovely - so think it’s the perfect location - a little away from the crowds. Would def stay again if in Venice.
I found the air conditioning unit didn’t seem to set properly and we were only able to use it on auto. Possibly we were doing something wrong so it would be nice to have instructions in writing or explanations on checking in.

Lovely property. Clean, well positioned. Adorable neighborhood, close to restaurants, shops, grocery. Friendly, helpful staff. Private apartment, but access to communal kitchen and endless filtered water. Would strongly recommend!
No view from the windows. No big deal but be aware if this is important to you.
