During the evening, the floor (upstairs and down) and stairway were sodden with water, and were slippery to walk on
I am claustrophobic and did NOT like the upstairs bedroom suite, which did not have any windows or views. It was very claustrophobic, and when I tried to sleep downstairs on the sofa bed, it was too difficult to pull out. I was very uncomfortable in such a claustrophobic space
The beach and ocean fronting the Intercontinental was VERY polluted with PLASTIC. Walking out into the ocean was very unpleasant, with every step you took onto plastic items and plastic frequently floating by you catching on your limbs. I was extremely disappointed to see that Bali's oceans and beaches are littered with plastic everywhere, we found it impossible to get away from plastic, both on walks through the countryside even in remote north-east OR swimming or snorkeling in the ocean.

This is a sprawling resort with huge rooms and a fantastic pool.
Unfortunately, the report is showing its age with the rooms appearing quite dated. My room smelled of damp or mould and there were paint cracks in the bathroom. Poor weather on the day of my arrival meant that the bath water ran brown which was pretty disappointing for a five star resort. This was reported to management and while they were apologetic, they were also relatively ambivalent. It also had to be said that while the resort is on the beach, Jimbaran Beach itself is not particularly dazzling. Lovely sunsets but so much rubbish and pollution. If you want to enjoy the best of Bali, head to Sanur or Uluwatu instead.

Good location
The hotel is old we had room that seemly had not been used for a while the linen had an old mouldy smell. The shower was leaking. The in room beverages where old even sugar had melted as it had been there that long. The manager did resolve the issue with a room change and late check out but it wasn’t a great experience

I booked for king bedroom, but I got twin bedroom with someone else's name in welcome statement on the television.
The toiletries are not byredo like other Intercontinental hotels.

Great beach location. Big resort
Plastic pollution on the beach is off the scale. Tourism industry is ruining Bali and it’s a genuine state of emergency with how bad the plastic pollution is. Also main pool was closed during our stay and we had NO warning of this

Such a massive resort! So much to do and see and so many food options 5 restaurants I believe to be exact or more if I didn’t discover all of them! The spa was incredible and the grounds of the hotel is like a museum! Everywhere was instagramable and the staff are all so attentive and extremely nice and accommodating!
If there is one thing to mention it would be that the air conditioning could have been a tiny bit better! Was still comfortable but I do like it abit too cold than most people! Apart from that everything was great!

Our room was lovely and the staff were extremely attentive. The grounds were beautiful and we loved using the club pool. I had a lovely pedicure in the salon and they did a great job!
The Intercontinental Club breakfast was not a good experience. It seems like they were understaffed, the food was not very good and the drinks took a very long time.

Room full of mosquito more than 20 that I killed, and had to move to another room that i found a small lizard in the bathroom
I think the resort is not doing a proper pest control

Jediná věc: odpoledne cca od 17:00 do večera byl na pokoji slyše hudba z restaurace u pláže. To mi hodně vadilo, chtěl i jsem v klidu odpočívat a relaxovat. Na druhé straně musí říct, že když jsem to šel řešit na recepci, okamžitě mi nabídli náhradní pokoj, aniž bych je o to žádal.

The room is spacious, clean, and bed is very comfy. Breakfast had great selections, fresh and delicious. Location is superb; 15 mins from the airport and 20 mins from Kuta by a car/taxi

Очень дружелюбный персонал, идеальная чистота в номере. При заселении нам сделали бесплатный апгрейд номера до Club категории. Первый номер который дали был с видом на строительные работы на территории отеля - поменяли без проблем за 15 минут на такой же с видом на океан и сад (корпус 6000). Смело могу рекомендовать - по оснащению номера , положению и сервису это один из лучших отелей в которых мы были.
Кое где ведутся ремонтные работы , но в целом не мешает (когда ещё делать ремонт, если не в пандемию)

Удобно что есть свой пляж. Вкусные завтраки, но остальные рестораны готовили не очень вкусно на территории отеля

The room was big, the bed was comfortable. The pool area was really nice. We enjoyed the sunbeds close to the ocean very much, really comfy.
My wife got poisoned from food that we ate at Sunset Beach. She had to spend one full day at the room because of that. More hygiene for good is required for sure. The check-in process was messy, that was far from a planned organization. There were so many mosquitos. On our first night, we killed maybe more than 15 but there were still many left. The breakfast was good but there is a big issues. The real breakfast place is Taman Gita. We went there the first day and they said we have to wait for 30 mins. They said if we don't want to wait, we can go to another place which I don't remember now. But it was not a restaurant but a meeting room! They said they are serving the same food and drinks which was a total lie! We realized this on our 2nd day when we had our breakfast at Taman Gita

You are about 30 minutes from seminyak and there isn’t a huge amount directly around the hotel however the Ubers are very affordable and the hotel is so beautiful you don’t really need to leave anyway.

Hotel was excellent; staff extremely attentive to all requests. Breakfast spread was amazing offering a huge range of cuisines; large selection of outdoor lounge areas to choose from - some 5 pools with a swim up bar

Overall, we quite enjoyed our stay at Intercontinental. The stay was part work and part leisure.
The room was comfortable & and clean, and the view over the beach was great. We really enjoyed having various pools to dip in.
The hotel staff were polite and courteous.
The location of the hotel was off a busy street with a few options for cafes and restaurants.
The beach strip became alive with seafood restaurants in the afternoons / nights, which gave a really good atmosphere.
During our stay, they had a 2 day blackout planned for a few hours each day, which we were only told when we got there and which meant no electricity, wifi, and water. The compensation was free nibbles & soft drinks during that period. However, with no wifi, it also meant we couldn't work.
We found that the prices for food & drinks at the hotel were relatively high. There were very limited activities included / free with the room booking, most had to be purchased.
