All of the food and drink we had during our stay at breakfast and dinner was suburb. The quality, presentation and the choice available was excellent. Our room was comfortable, with good facilities in the room and bathroom. Our room was clean and tidy and well presented.
Sadly, there were flies in the restaurant when we had our evening meal, and at breakfast. I have no doubt this was nothing to do with the standard of cleanliness, just due to rural location and nearby cattle in fields adjacent to the hotel. The restaurant staff did everything they could to help and control the problem, but it was disturbing at times.
Traffic noise from the nearby motorway was noticeable when we were inside our room. We have stayed in the hotel before, and previously we didn't hear or notice the traffic noise, but this time, maybe due to the location of our room, it was noticeable throughout the night.

Comfortable room. Good dinner at a sensible price. Good breakfast options. Beautiful setting too.
Minor signs of wear and tear: it is an old building! Pathway near the restaurant could do with some weed killer.
