Situated in Lauterbrunnen, this lovely condo for $262 per night is a great option for your next vacation. '.....the Staubach Falls and Lauterbrunnen Valley in all their glory' - John le Carré, (Our Kind of Traitor) A modern chalet apartment with stunning views of the spectacular Lauterbrunnen Valley that are genuinely unsurpassed. The Staubach Falls are over to one side, visible from every room, and alpine meadows lie straight ahead, the views of which are unobstructed by any other buildings. There is nothing to spoil the view. Located next to open pasture, on the outside edge of a small modern chalet development, wide french doors open out onto a large sunny terrace, great for outside dining and barbecuing, but even better for just sitting and gazing at one of the world’s most dramatic valleys. Unsurprisingly, the area is a UNESCO world heritage site. Inside is perfect for a self catering holiday - a large open-plan lounge and dining area with cosy underfloor heating, oak furniture and comfy leather settees. The well equipped kitchen is finished with granite surfaces and includes ceramic hob and oven, filter coffee maker, dishwasher and microwave, as well as all other essential equipment. A large master bedroom with king size bed and solid oak furniture, has ample room for a cot, if needed. The second bedroom provides flexibility for families, with full size bunk beds and a single bed. The level access throughout the property is often appreciated by both older people and those with young children. Other features include free and unlimited WiFi internet, international cable TV, DVD, washing machine and drier, ski room and private parking garage. The price also includes all Tourist taxes, end of stay cleaning, bed linen and towels, heating and taxed rubbish/garbage collection, (ie there are no extra costs). The property is situated well away from the traffic on the main road, but still only two minutes from the Post Bus which runs regularly along the valley. A small local store is only a short distance across the river, but a full range of shops can be found in the village, ten minutes walk away. As well as the trains to Interlaken, cable cars link to the international ski areas of Murren and Wengen, including the famous Eiger Northface cog railway to the Jungfraujoch. Further afield the excellent train and Post Bus service makes a car unnecessary. In winter there is a regular free ski bus service two minutes away, which directly connects to the ski lift system. In addition a cross country ski trail skirts through the grounds of the chalet. Tennis courts are 200m away and there is an outdoor swimming pool in the village. Numerous hiking trails provide for all ages and abilities, each with their own spectacular scenery. Similarly cycling opportunities range from adventurous mountain biking to more gentle electric bikes, all available to rent locally. The Trummelbach Falls are an easy 20 minute walk, one of 72 waterfalls which tumble into the Lauterbrunnen Valley, and the gallery behind the Staubach Falls is barely ten minutes away. In summary, the location is truly glorious. (Our reviews will tell you a lot more, all of which have been written voluntarily by guests. During your stay our local manager, who has lived nearby in the valley for many years, is multilingual and available to deal with any problems.) We are a family of 5 and stayed at the appartment for a week. We found everything clean, welcoming and functional. Sue was extremely efficient and responsive with her communication. The appartment is well equipped and has great views of the Lauterbrunnen waterfall and mountains. The bus stop is not even a 2min walk and it is then another 5min max to the various cable cars or trains to the slopes. We would certainly stay again.

We really loved our stay in this condo. The pictures fail to show just how beautiful the views are. This is the last house in a small community so the patio is by the street, there were a few cars but not many, and people would walk by once in a while. That did not bother us at all, we did enjoy watching the goats across the street in a small field, they were only there part of the time and were very cute.
We did get to see several people paragliding land in the valley, that was entertaining!
We enjoyed dinner at Restaurant Weidstubli twice, it is located in the campground across the river, it was delicious!
It is a short walk into the village that is easy and lovely, the bus is nearby if you prefer that.
There was a slight problem when we arrived but Sue was very quick to come up with a solution, and she was friendly.
Like others have mentioned there is only one towel per person, this nice of a place should have more. There is a washer and dryer, one reason we chose to stay here but the dryer wasn’t great, we used a small hanging dryer that helped some.
A patio umbrella would be a nice addition because of the sun, we did enjoy the patio though. Extra pillows, good ice trays and a coffee maker that stays warm would be welcome additions.
Overall we loved our time here, it was very comfortable for four adults. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend you don’t hesitate to book with Sue!
Lauterbrunnen is our favorite area so we hope to return here soon!

Great views from the apartment and surrounding areas. Fabulous walks in the area and close to other towns. Overall we had a great time with memories to last forever. Would definitely recommend your accommodation to family and friends.

The two of us spent 5 nights here as it was located for easy access to hiking around idyllic Lauterbrunnen, Wegen, Murren. Stunning views of multiple waterfalls from all windows in this property. We found it clean and comfortable enough; furnishings are practical and durable -- suited to families with young children. Only one set of bath towels per person are provided, and minimal paper and pantry products were found. The Lauterbrunnen Coop stocks very limited supplies of such, so best to stock up before you arrive.
We arrived by train from Interlacken and did not have use of a car; with our luggage we walked to the apartment from the train station but recommend using the bus instead. Lovely riverside path to Lauterbrunnen shops and restaurants and transport to Wengen and Murren, but not roller suitcase friendly if coming/going to Interlacken train.
Although on a dead-end lane, there is considerable foot traffic (to/from bus) and some service vehicles to and from the Alpine Base Hostel (very lively on weekends) just across the road as well as passersby and dog walkers from the campground just steps across the river. The lane is feet from the patio and although the property's shrubs provide pockets of privacy, they have now grown such that they impede the view of the meadow and some of the distant mountains.
If in need of wine and you are outfitted with a backpack, the Coops in Wengen and Murren offer larger selection than Lauterbrunnen :)

An absolutely stunning apartment which was spotless and had all we needed. The view from the terrace is outstanding, what a place to have a BBQ. We had a great stay. The apartment was well appointed and very clean. Location was good as it was a short walk to the shops and restaurants in town. Lauterbrunnen is super busy during the summer months (busier than we thought!). We enjoyed visiting Murren and a few of the other smaller towns for hiking and getting away from the more touristy spots. Sue was very responsive, provided great advice on things to do and places to eat locally. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

Traveling with an infant and three-year old, this condo suited us well. It was clean and offered plenty of living area space, as well as a large bathroom (with tub) and cot / high chair. The views can't be beat and a playground is only a five-min walk away; town is just a bit further. Having a car was handy for drives to nearby towns, but not necessary. Would recommend.

Communication with property owner, while limited because everything was in order, was great. The property had a wonderful layout, was comfortably and well furnished. Linens and towels and pillows very nice. Great patio and wonderful wall of windows! Loved the location!

Front row view to heaven. Uninterrupted views, patio was perfect for our almost 5 yo daughter to enjoy picking wildflowers and watching the neighboring sheep. I can’t imagine a better spot for a family with young children in lauterbrunnen. We enjoyed grilling, the kitchen was well equipped. Would note that this location is managed by a professional management company which we found lacks the “homeyness” of other VRBOs we have used. They provide only one towel per guest and were not willing to add more when we asked. The young man who brought us more pillowcases (again- lacking) was very kind and did agree to give us more towels against the manager’s wishes but I sure hope he didn’t get in trouble! The linens and towels were on par or even less than our friends staying at the neighboring campground. This would be my only note for improvement- everything else is 5* all the way! I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Fabulous stay! Great central location for the region as you can catch the train (15 min walk) or catch the bus (2 min walk) which will get you wherever you want to go. No car needed.
Condo was absolutely perfect, extremely clean, modern, view of waterfall right outside master bedroom window and kitchen window. Nice patio where we watched the goats play. Fully stocked kitchen. Sue, the host, was very responsive and directions were seamless. Fast wifi and great cell service too.

Very convenient to local sights. Post bus runs every half hour into town or further down the valley, but the walk on the road just behind Jungfrau camp store is easy and spectacular as you approach Lauterbrunnen. A must see is Murren. Easy short cable ride from town center. Incredible panoramic view of Alps.

This property was everything I could have dreamed of and more. I stayed here towards the end of my first solo Europe trip and it was probably my favorite out of all the places. I stayed for about 6 days and had the time of my life. It's fairly close to town (about a 10-15 minute walk) and even though town can be pretty crowded on nice days, this didnt have a lot of through traffic going by the place. The views are remarkable and some of the best that you can get. I enjoyed wine on the back patio most of the nights and it truly made this dream trip even more amazing. I skydived and the place we landed was in the open area in front of the back patio! I also enjoyed the goats when they let them out in the side yard! They were very fun to watch! I can't thank the Creamers enough for opening their beautiful home to me and everyone else that decides to stay here. The most amazing stay in one of the most beautiful places on Earth! I'm very excited to plan my next stay here☺️

I would not recommend staying at Lautenbrunner VRB.
It's disappointing that the hostess did not seem to care about the guests' needs and comfort. The numerous disadvantages, such as the wrong garage space number, small and low-quality towels, dry shampoo, and lack of basic amenities like coffee, sugar, and trash bags, only add to the frustration. Additionally, the bed being squeaky and not having bed sheets is unacceptable.

We were extremely happy with this property, as the other reviews have mentioned, the location is amazing with views of the Staubach falls from every room. We also appreciated the cleanliness and all the amenities esp. the washer and dryer. Going for walks by the river was our favorite morning activity.

The entryway bench with built-in shoe cubbies is just one example of the smartly planned storage within the unit. Sue's communication with us was excellent and we much appreciated her advice.
