Great welcome and received help with all our luggage which was really appreciated
Fantastic choice and quality of beers

Lovely locals atmosphere in the bar - clearly popular
Easy to park and lovely elevated location- nice early morning and late evening strolls locally
Very close to Grosmont (steam train), waterfall and Whitby and beaches etc
Lovely large bedroom (with a lounge and 2 x tv's !), very good shower

The room was lovely... very quiet, the place was very quirky, staff very friendly and knowledgeable.
Only a small thing... there were things hanging on the walls which were a bit dusty.. apart from that... couldn't fault it.

The hotel was in a nice little village. The staff were very friendly and the food was good. It was very good value for money
Not the fault of the owner but it is quite a long way off the route of the coast to coast walk - up a very steep hill after a long days walk. But some pubs in the area only offer 2 night stays
