Villa Escalesia was easily one of the highlights of our time in the Galápagos. It has to be one of the most luxurious boutique hotels on the islands, with genuine five-star service in an absolutely extraordinary setting.
We had a beautiful, spacious oceanfront room where you can walk right outside and watch the Pacific waves crash against the black volcanic rocks. Iguanas are everywhere, along with bright red Sally Lightfoot crabs and other marine life. Sitting there watching it all, you genuinely feel as though you’re staying in the middle of a living marine laboratory. It’s an experience that’s difficult to describe until you’ve been there.
The hotel itself is quiet, intimate, and beautifully maintained. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very well equipped with everything we needed. The staff were exceptional—warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. They consistently went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, well informed, and able to make the most of our time in the Galápagos. The level of personal attention and five-star service made the premium price feel entirely justified.
The location is also excellent. We could easily walk to the Charles Darwin Research Station, Tortuga Bay, and the marina, where we departed for our excursions. It was wonderful being close to everything while still having such a quiet, peaceful waterfront retreat to come back to.
Breakfast each morning was another highlight: full-service and beautifully presented, with fresh fruit, cheeses, nuts, breads, yogurt, fresh juice of the day, and a freshly prepared main dish. The quality was outstanding.
This isn’t an inexpensive hotel, but that’s part of what made the experience stand out: we felt we received the level of accommodations, personal service, and attention that the price should command. Between the spectacular waterfront setting, exceptional staff, beautiful rooms, convenient location, and remarkable wildlife literally outside our door, it was worth every penny.

El desayuno deben mejorarlo. No tienes opción de elegir. Todos los días es igual a excepción de la proteína del plato principal. Tampoco tienen zumos.

El edificio y la decoracion de este hotel superaron mis expectativas, la paz del jardin y la zona de pileta tambien!
La habitacion era enorme y muy muy linda con una vista excepcional....invitaba a quedarse y relajar en el balcon.
El cuidado que nos ofrecieron con tanta amabilidad Camila Y Pablo y su equipo fue muy apreciado.
El desayuno: si bien variado, era fijo....el jugo y el plato "fuerte" y las frutas que ellos decidian que se servia esa maniana. Habiendo dicho esto, estaba muy fresco y muy rico.
