The accommodation was brilliant. Spacious. We have a dog and all of the garden is well fenced so there was no way our dog was getting out. Which is often a worry. Lovely breakfast.

The property was historic, stately, beautifully maintained. An old works charm.
Anna Marie was such a warming host. When we had rental car issues and a baby in tow, we arrived by taxi near dinner time. Anna Marie offered to help and served us a full dinner - meats, cheeses and home made lasagna. Above and beyond!

The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The sofa bed in the second bedroom was comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped.
While it was not the fault of the owners due to the energy constrictions, the house was rather cold during our stay. Also, the house is really dated and would benefit from some renovations and updates. Also, the couch shown on the photos is not what is actually there- instead there are two old leather couches (one for 2 people and one for 1) that are very uncomfortable and are ripping and have been repaired and then covered over with stiff Berber material. It felt as though the furnishings were old (not in a nice vintage way) and just placed in the apartment. Again, the place was clean and the owners were nice, but it was disappointing to see the state of the interior because it was misleading from the photos online.
