We really wanted to spend a night or two in traditional Japanese setting - tatami and futon. All hotels this type were either bad-looking or too expensive for our budget. We were so surprised when we arrived at Saik - the smell, the cleanliness, traditional Japanese style, super friendly staff who helped us to check in and even recommended some restaurants. And all of this for very affordable price. If I were to visit Kanazawa once more, I would definitely go for this exact stay again!

Good location, near a bus stop. Clean. Communication was okay but by messaging only.
It had the vibes of a youth hostel with bunk beds in the room. Breakfast was a paper bag in the fridge with croissants, yogurt, a banana and a bit of fruit. For 63,900 yen for 3 nights I’d expect a lot more. I could get a decent hotel for less. An experience staying in a traditional Japanese house but one I wouldn’t recommend.
