About this condo rental
Nestled in Barcelona, this charming condo for $319 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Our apartment is located in the heart of the beautiful El Born district of Barcelona’s Historic Centre known as Ciutat Vella. It’s on the doorstep of the magnificent Picasso Museum and MOCO, Barcelona’s new Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, the Chocolate Museum and the Ciutadella Park. It’s a 5-minute walk from the beautiful palm-fringed marina and the cathedral, a 10 minute walk from the Ramblas, and just 15 minutes from the beaches that led to Barcelona being crowned Nº1 Beach City in the World by National Geographic Magazine. The apartment has a floor area of 90m2 and provides real home from home comfort and every luxury to make your holiday accommodation extra special. It has high speed fibre optic internet at 100mbps, duck down duvets in winter, a Nespresso coffee machine and a home cinema system. It is spacious with open plan areas in the living room & kitchen/dining room. It has high vaulted ceilings with exposed wooden beams and French windows leading out onto little wrought iron Juliette balconies. It has a landline, a breakfast bar, a split-level spa-style bathroom with a huge shower cubicle. It even has a secret door! The apartment was also featured in a TV documentary on Catalán interiors. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 teens who stayed in December of 2023. Overall we had a good stay and the location of the apartment is perfect for exploring the old town, markets, Picasso museum, waterfront and many other areas by foot. The apartment is in good condition, with functional furniture and a well-stocked kitchen. However, I think it is important to note something we did not realize when booking - the apartment is not a true 2 bedroom, the double bed is located in a partially walled-off area of the living room, with walls that don't go all the way up to the ceiling and there is no door to get to the area where the bed is. We made it work for us but it may not work for 2 couples or if people want to watch TV/ talk in the living room when others are trying to sleep in the double bed. The check-in went well except the meeting spot was tough to find, taxi driver took us to a wrong corner. Get an actual address or a specific landmark from the host where they would meet you for smoother check-in. Finally, upon checkout, we asked whether we could store our luggage since our flight was at 4pm, and were not given the option of storing luggage on premises but instead were told of a nearby shop where they accept luggage for a fee. The fee was excessive for 4 carry-ons and 3 backpacks we paid 45 euros which was upsetting. The owner was responsive and a few things that went wrong could have been a misunderstanding, so spell out to her everything you need.

We spent four fabulous days in Barcelona and we couldn’t be happier with the choice we made for accommodation. Kay”s apartment is right in the old center surrounded by nice restaurants, little stores and close to major tourist attractions. Kay was extremely helpful and always checking to see if everything was alright:) Thank you so much and I hope to come again one day…

Walking distance to everything. get the bus turista tickets for the hop on hop off bus and you won’t miss having a car. We are on american schedule and never needed a reservation.

It was the perfect location and apartment for our first visit to Barcelona. The apartment was as advertised and nice. The information notebook was very helpful. Our grandchildren joined us for one night and enjoyed the DVD selection. I would highly recommend.

This apartment is lovely, tastefully appointed, well equipped, and very comfortable. The owner, Kay, could not have been more hospitable and helpful. She was always accessible and very responsive. It’s location in El Born is very central, making walking to sights, shops, restaurants easy, even for a senior retired couple like us. For anyone who has difficulty with stairs, this apartment would not be suitable. Otherwise, we highly recommend this apartment for a visit to Barcelona.

This was our second stay in the apartment and we will do it again someday! Wonderful location! Apartment was clean and had every amenity we needed. Thank goodness for the air conditioning because it was hot summer weather. The owner responded almost immediately to every question and offered ideas for things to see. We had a great time and look forward to coming back.

We spent 4 nights with our two children age 10 and 11. It was the perfect spot for us. Walkable to many things, convenient for a rented car and public transport. Kay and her team were super helpful before, during, and after our stay. Would highly recommend!

We loved our visit to Barcelona. We absolutely loved the location of this apartment. It is in the middle of everything. Kay and her team were very helpful and responsive. The air conditioning and wi-fi was great and the kitchen had all the necessities. We highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay in the apartment and neighborhood. We loved the clean and tiny streets and had good access to buses, metro and the airport (1 hour by public transportation). The house was quiet with good AC. I'm so glad we chose this quaint, convienent and quiet area over the other neighborhoods that are more touristy and full of shopping. Kay's communication was so helpful and we had a fantastic stay. Our teenage kids really liked the Moco museum, beach, Santa Maria Del Mar Church, gaudi church and buildings and the near by food market, Dia. Thanks Kay!

The apartment was wonderful for our stay in Barcelona! It was clean, close to amazing restaurants, shops, and walking distance to just about everything you’d want to see and do. Kay was extremely communicative and cared about our needs. Even plug adaptors and charging stations were available. I highly recommend this apartment!

We were thrilled with the apartment in El Born!! The location is ideal, the furnishings were beautiful and the apartment had everything you would ever need. The space is very comfortable to a weeks plus stay.

We had a fabulous time at Kay's lovely home in the Born. It was very comfortable for four women and had everything we needed. Marco met us upon arrival to give us a tour of the home and how to operate all the bits. And Kay has a very thorough notebook with instructions as well. The neighborhood is close to the action (10 min walk to the Ramblas, 15 min taxi ride to La Sagrada Familia.) Muchas gracias, Kay, for sharing your wonderful home with us! Everything about this vrbo and our interaction with Kay was fantastic. The El Born area is so alive, historic, artsy. Shopping on every street and alley. So many wonderful, unique independent boutiques and cafes, and just 10-15 min walk to the more touristy areas of Plaza Catalunya and La Rambla. The apartment itself was wonderful. Plenty of space and creative storage, and a beautiful bathroom, open kitchen, and comfy living room. Kay has thought of everything and a binder in the apartment contains everything you could ever want to know about the area. And if there was anything we needed, I'm confident we could have contacted Kay any time day or night. The one and only thing to note is that the apartment does not have a view of a plaza or courtyard. The large windows/balcony face an alley, as many apartments do. It didn't bother us at all because we spent most of our time exploring the beautiful city every day, and when we would get back at night, the living room was a perfect spot to unwind!

This flat really lets you experience the true feeling of being in the heart of Barcelona. Convenient restaurants, flats, markets and metro stops nearby. Beds were comfortable. And while you could hear the neighbors when they were home, it was quiet at night so we all got a good nights sleep!

We had a great time staying at Kay's lovely place in El Born, Barcelona. The apartment itself is clean and spacious and full of thoughtful touches like a Nespresso machine, a multi device charging station, an easy to use TV and more. Our hosts were helpful, patient and very responsive. The location is safe, central, convenient and full of character. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting this incredible city especially if you need two bedrooms.

Our group enjoyed a one-week stay in September. We join the chorus of satisfied guests who found the apartment (just as described online) centrally located, well-appointed, and very comfortable with plenty of space for four adults. Foremost, we appreciated Kay for being a very responsive and accessible host, even while she was called out of town!

Kay does a great job of trying to think of everything you could possibly need to know for a great stay in her apartment and in the beautiful city of Barcelona. There is a very comprehensive manual in the apartment with all the information you will need to operate all the appliances, the remotes for the television, and the alarm system. Also information on dealing with emergencies, garbage, public transportation, restaurant recommendations, and the location of close by sights She sets up a WhatsApp account so you can communicate easily once you are in Spain.
The air-conditioning was a life saver as we come from an area with little humidity. Barcelona’s high humidity made coming home after a day of sightseeing to an apartment with AC a real relief and sleeping was very comfortable as it didn’t cool off much overnight. Many things are within easy walking distance and there is a metro stop a 10 minute walk away so you can easily get to everything in Barcelona. Google Maps and the Moovit app, which tells you which metro line or bus to take, made navigating the city easy.
Barcelona is the cleanest major city we have ever visited. All the narrow lanes in the pedestrian only area are washed every day! There are little street cleaners and people with brooms cleaning the streets regularly. In some cities the older areas of the city stink, not in Barcelona. We had a delightful 9 day visit and Kay’s apartment was a huge factor in our enjoyment.

In spite of the aspect of the street being very tiny we are talking about the central old area of the city with building very close ..the place is very comfortable the apartment is very well done and equipped..A must spend a week in this incredible city very close even to the beach of Barceloneta and the classic Rambla.

The apartment & location were perfect for our family of 5. It is centrally located within the historic gothic quarter close to many shops, restaurants and bars. It is located on a quiet pedestrian walkway with no street traffic.
Communication with the property owner was great! If any issues arise Kay is quick to get them addressed so it does not affect your stay.
