Very clean room with excellent staff and amenities. We loved the proximity to major ski resorts and how nice it was to come back to the inn’s pool, hot tub, and sauna. Breakfast was excellent quality and served in a beautiful room. We can’t wait to come back again!

The pics of the rooms in the internet were not what the room looked like.. The room had dark vrown carpet, dark curtains and looked gloomy. Carpet is unhygienic.

We had a delightful stay at 506 On The River! Accommodations were very comfortable and the restaurant staff were wonderful when we went for breakfast. We hope to return again soon!

I loved this hotel! I thought it was wonderful, they had a couple of really cute goodies, a really nice restaurant, as well as lovely and clean rooms. The grounds are really pretty, I loved the amenities! The only (very small) downfall is that the hot tub was not super hot and when I asked if they could make it warmer, the gentleman at the desk was not very friendly.

We were disappointed in our room since the photos showed a bright large room and advertised that every room had a view of the river - we did not on the ground floor. We felt like we were in a basement with a dark room. As far as cleanliness there was a half full water bottle under the lamp table and the mattress box spring cover was only partially on. Otherwise it was clean. The towels were fluffy and very white as were the bed linens. Use of the work out room revealed a very squeaky elliptical machine. Pool and hot tub were clean and nice. Breakfast was tasty and well prepared.

Very relaxing accommodations. Outdoor space allows space for kids to play and adults to relax near the babbling brook. Indoor pool is super nice. Bar and restaurant area is beautifully decorated for lounging in comfort. Wish we had had more time to spend there.

The hotel and its settings are beautiful. We loved the restaurant, bar and breakfast. It has a very nice pool, hot tub and sauna. We also enjoyed the outdoor area with a firepit, nice chairs and blankets for a cool day/evening. I highly recommend the hotel.

A wonderful property and wonderful experience! Its the perfect getaway destination if you want to detox from the city. My husband and I had a really beautiful time admiring the scenery and nature. It was the perfect slow down we needed. This property is at a perfect distance from every tourist spot and it is very well maintained.

Our room was clean and roomy - in our balcony overlooked pretty grounds. We took advantage of breakfast, which was delicious - and dinner, which was perfect as well. The menu is creative, and the food was prepared perfectly.

Great place, and we brought our little dog, who loved splashing in the river. Our son had a fantastic time playing the yard games outside in the giant open space. We also had fun in the pool/ hot tub/sauna. Everyone was nice and we found it clean and comfortable.

The customer experience is not only about a beautiful property but also about how you treat your customers. It’s not about what happens, rather how you handle the situation. A bad situation handled well, will result in a favourable outcome. Our situation should have been handled as follows “we apologize for the miscommunication on our end and of course we will give you the 30 minutes you need to get ready for check-out”. Instead we were talked to and treated very rudely by your staff and front desk manager, the first demanding we vacate within 10 minutes and the other saying that what had been agreed to the evening prior at check-in didn’t matter because the message wasn’t left for them by their own staff. The way this situation was handled has left such an unfavourable impression on us, your paying guests.

Property is a bit out of the way. It is nice, in that there is a pretty river running right behind it. Room was a good standard. Staffing quality at front desk was one inconsistency. Our initial check-in and questions about local things to do were not well handled, but other interactions with other desk staff were fine. Very good breakfast offered to guests.

property is located next to the Ottauquechee River and it is pretty. However, the rooms, though OK, are looking "tired". For example: shower bars are rusty, floors in the shower have "marks" on the tiles, sheets didn't seem that "crisp" or maybe even weren't changed. Blanket on bed didn't seem clean. Breakfast, though included, was of poor quality and not a great selection. We had to ask for towels to be refreshed as well as replenishment of toilet tissue. Room was NOT serviced at all during our stay. We could hear loud footsteps/walking and the television from the room above.

Great place to stay! Will be back! Our favorite part was the complimentary breakfast, it was delicious and the staff was lovely. The building was so clean and the pool was immaculate. Had tons of games and activities to do all around the property, both outdoors and indoors.

This could be a lovely Hotel except lack of housekeeping and staff which we should have been told about beforehand. If we had known that there is no decent place to eat within a 20 min drive on a Tuesday never would we have booked . We struggled to even find anywhere for lunch on Tuesday . Our stay was only saved from being a complete disappointment by the wonderful meal on at Simon Pearce but that was a 15 min plus drive and rather expensive. Breakfast buffet was worst we have had anywhere . No price reduction for lack of service .

Property is beautiful, great pool and hot tub area and staff were accommodating. We would go back. The only negative is they offer a country breakfast with your stay, many items including the cereal, granola and breads and pastries were stale. Probably left over from their weekend crowd. We stayed on a Monday/Tuesday and not a lot of guests there. The Homefries potatoes were Luke warm, and definately not fresh. The staff person at breakfast was nice but the food was disappointing. They also did not give us fresh towels or come to our room to freshen up by housekeeping. 8/10
