What a fantastic stay in a wonderful place thanks to an authentic host, Sir Brian.
We informed Brian that we would be arriving between 16 and 17:00 hour. He came personally to welcome us onto his lovely boat the Scotia. We had such a comfortable cabin on the upper deck where we enjoyed a wonderful resting night in the bridal suite with a stunning fascinating view. Brian welcomed us together with the other guests at breakfast on the lower deck and served us a delicious generous Scottish breakfast while telling us numerous entertaining stories about his soldier life as well as his adventures growing up abroad. As my wife was allergic to wheat, she was offered a full pack of gluten free toasts! Please indulge in the Scottish breakfast and in the authentic Scottish hospitality of Sir Brian who even personally said goodbye to us after we checked out. We highly recommend this gem! Do not miss it!

Beware to bring a Scottish English proficient translator or train yourself sufficiently before immersing into the boat and breakfast experience!

Has the best night on this boat. Loved Scottish history chats with the owner Brian, who was super helpful and an absolute character.
Accom is simple, clean, and has everything you need, including a yummy cooked breakfast plus snacks and drinks you can grab at any time. If you’re wanting fancy, don’t go here but if you’re wanting a fun experience, sleeping in a boat, then definitely give it a go! Can’t wait to go back!

Brian the owner was really nice. The food was excellent and the main cabin area was nice.
Our room was up a steep ladder , I’m disabled. The room was awful really I’m Sorry to say. No tv / radio. Cold and very very small. Never worth £250 per night. I hate to say this but I must be honest. It really was not pleasant
