Lovely rooms with Victorian style design. The staff were friendly and there is a beautiful park just outside the hotel. Also very conveniently located near the old town.
If you are driving there, getting to that small street just outside the hotel could be a problem and takes some time to navigate there.

Good location (15 to 20 minute walk through beautiful park to Kapana and old town), large room with very comfortable bed, free and easy parking outside of hotel (were told that our medium SUV would be tough to maneuver through the garage), and good breakfast.
Shower leaked onto bathroom floor even with the door closed

The Residence City Garden Hotel is in a perfect location within the town. The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful, if you struggle with Bulgarian done worry as their English is perfect. The Hotel and rooms were to a high standard and very clean.
I was expecting more from the restaurant. The main restaurant shuts at 3pm and doesn’t provide an evening meal. I was told this was common in Bulgaria from my Bulgarian friends I was visiting. To be fair though, there are many good restaurants in the Plovdiv town centre that served food of a high standard for more than a reasonable price compared to the UK. 40euros for a 2 course meal with drinks.

The location was excellent, top centre. All staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, it smelled nice.
The shower heads in the bathroom had limescale and could use a proper cleaning. The toilet flush button panel was wonky and needs to be fixed. The breakfast options felt limited. Overall the room was nice, but the hotel didn't offer any amenities I would expect from a 5-star hotel, so I would rate it 4 stars at the most. For the price we paid, it's not good value for money.
