This wonderfully convenient complex sits just 175 yards from the Village Lodge at Mammoth Mountain, accessed by a direct walkway over Forest Trail Road. You can walk 350 yards to the Village Gondola and ski home daily when the conditions are right on the beginner-level Ski Back Trail down the street. Mammoth Lakes becomes a paradise for golfers, hikers, and mountain bikers in the sparkling summer months. Practice your drive at the Sierra Star Golf Course, hike through Mammoth Lakes Basin, or spend a day on the shores of Mono Lake 30 miles north. You'll also be 66 miles southeast of Yosemite National Park and its awe-inspiring granite cathedrals. Step inside to find a beautifully remodeled living space nestled among the trees. Sit on the leather sofa, warm your toes by the gas fireplace, and relax with your loved ones as the sunlight streams through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Watch a few Blu-ray movies on the cable TV in the living area. Throw your snowy ski clothes in the private washer/dryer and move into the kitchen to whip up a few afternoon snacks. This renovated space includes custom pine cabinetry, granite countertops, and modern appliances and fixtures. Sip a cold microbrew at the bar counter or pour mugs of hot chocolate to sip at the patio table on the deck. The bedroom on the main floor features a TV and a Blu-ray player to help lull you to sleep. The enclosed loft has a twin-over-double bunk bed, one twin bed, and a TV with a DVD player, while the living room offers a sofa bed. The stunning natural landscapes of Mammoth Lakes await - book your summer or winter escape to the mountains of California today! THINGS TO KNOW The internet is unreliable in this area. This home does not allow early check-in. Please remember to bring your pool towels, we only provide regular towels for your stay. While pots and pans are available for use, as a safety precaution, consumables such as oil, spices, and coffee are not provided. Stairs are required to access this home. The pool and spa area are closed until further notice. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. Only place we’ll book for our family vacation in Mammoth . Location is perfect to restaurants, Village and short walk to the gondola!! Condo size works for us family of 5, but , would suggest no more then that ! Love this place !

I couldn’t sleep all night because the fireplace remote wasn’t working properly and making beeping noises, I called the service crew but they couldn’t find the reason. Other than that everything else was good

Excellent location and very clean place. Terrific communication and easy check-in. The only problem is that the internet doesn’t work. The listing makes clear that the internet is unreliable but during our stay it did not work at all, no connection whatsoever.

Heating- the house was overheated on arrival. No way to cool it down. No fans - ceiling or otherwise. Uncomfortable stay.
Kitchen- lacks even basic amenities- not even salt and black pepper in the kitchen. Pans dented, worn out , non stick coating worn out. No basics like aluminum foil or plastic cling films. No coffee or tea bags. Bare pantry.
Bathroom- provided just one small bar of soap. Not good on hygiene.
Bedding- just 2 small pillows on the bed. No extra pillows/ sheets blankets.
Noisy house, roof feels like it will fly away or fall on your head! Whole night felt like someone was walking around the house.
Avoid staying if possible. If decided to stay, please bring everything and the kitchen sink!
High price, unnecessary fees and poor service/value. 2 management companies - overpriced and extra fees.

It was warm week at Mammoth and many of the windows were missing screens to air out the house and when we tried to leave some open, the bugs came in. The dinning room table was so sticky and no matter what we did to clean it it remained sticky to where it was unusable. I tried to call Vacassa for a problem we were having with the Living Room TV and never received a call back. My stays in this unit are usually pleasant, but we will be staying somewhere else next time.

This was truly a great location if you want to start at Canyon Lodge. A short walk to the village to hop on the gondola and you are on the slopes. I have a family of 4 and it was plenty spacious for us. If you have small children, there is plenty of room for snow play in the backyard/ forest. We would come back.

My family and I enjoyed the beautiful space. The living room was great for the en d of the day and my kids loved the loft. Great location close to Village but as an end unit you could pretend you are in the woods with the views.

Third year in a row
We have visited this same unit 3 years running, and still will probably return again. Over the years, though, we have felt there are a few things that could be improved. There has been noticeable wear and tear on the unit, such as the mold on the shower curtain downstairs (2 years running), the newly broken downstairs table that has been glued back together in an unsightly fashion, and the chairs downstairs at the kitchen table showing age and needing reupholstering. The kitchen also lacks basic pantry amenities like salt, pepper, oil... This said, the location is still wonderful, and the property taking care of snow plowing and offering the pool/spa is nice. We also think the owners upgraded the downstairs mattress this year, as last year it was very lumpy and hurt both of our backs each night. The view is probably the best in the complex, and the unit overall still fits our family's needs. It just needs a little maintenance.

We’ve stayed at Val dIsere many times, each time in a different unit and this was by far our favorite. The corner upstairs unit really makes you feel like you are far away from it all in the beauty of the forest in the comfort of home. Thank you!
