Situated in Crested Butte, this charming house for $490 per night is a great option for your next vacation. BUSINESS LICENSE #001222 The First Street Guesthouse is a unique blend of old and new. Starting with an historic, log cabin that was part of Crested Butte's original Creamery, the home has been architecturally enhanced, with the main part completely new. During construction and renovation, the use of non-toxic, natural building components has earned the home many prestigious awards. Located just steps from Elk Avenue, (Crested Butte's historic main street). The First Street Guesthouse sits tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood. The downstairs opens onto a large entry area and three bedrooms, two with queen-size beds and access to exterior patios. The third bedroom has a twin/trundle bed. All boast cozy goosedown comforters. The large bathroom on this level offers a sumptuous, deep, Japanese, jetted, soak tub and oversize marble steam shower. Nearby is a handy washer and dryer. The upper level, with it's breathtaking views of mountains in all directions, has a gourmet kitchen with soapstone counter tops and stainless appliances. It flows openly into an eating/gathering bar, dining and living areas, all surrounded by vaulted ceilings. Also on this level are a one-half bath and cozy den for a great work space. Outside, there is a small yard for children and even a canine friend. Please note that the yard is NOT fenced in. Inside and out, the home is meticulously maintained and offers more than just a homey, comfortable vacation setting. Its owners, 15 year residents of Crested Butte, work hard to ensure its guests a most memorable stay. Elk Avenue's shops and restaurants are close by. The town's free mountain bus shuttle is little more then a block away. Hiking and Nordic trails are even closer! Because of First Street Guesthouse's ideal location, a car is not required; everything is within easy walking distance, regardless of the season. We will consider well trained dogs. Please ask us about our dog policy and fees. We just added High Speed internet for your convenience. There is 1 off street parking space. You will need to get all license numbers to me prior to your arrival so that I can get you a digital parking permit! Great location on a quiet street just off Elk. We were able to hike right from the house to the woods walk, which was amazing. And we were also able to walk to Camp 4, Bonez, Stash within about 5 minutes. The house was spotless when we arrived. The courtyard isn't fenced in any longer, but we parked our cars so that it was still a private space that would essentially contain the pups. Also a note, the futon is no longer in the upstairs den, there are two wing back chairs.

This home was perfect for our trip to Crested Butte! Everything was clean and organized and the kitchen was great to cook in. The location was perfect for us to walk to shops and restaurants with young children. The farmer’s market was just steps away! Truly a perfect vacation rental!!

Fabulous house in the center of Crested Butte
This is a beautiful old house that has been renovated. The kitchen is really well stocked and the upstairs provides a great space for the family to get together. Not a good property for small children (steep stairs--although they do have a child gate). We had a fabulous time.

We've been to Crested Butte many times but never stayed in town and the 3 bedrooms offer plenty of space to accomodate a family of 4 with adult children and our doggo. The rooms are well apportioned, good beds and the updstairs / downstairs layout lets you enjoy each other's company but escape if you need some alone time. With that siad, this place is best for being together! The kitchen is fully appointed and has everything you need to make spectacular meals, even down to the seasoned 12 inch cast iron skillet to fry up bacon and scrambled eggs every morning. When we didn't want to cook, we were able to walk to pick-up food with plenty of excellent choices within a 4 minute walk. We didn't experience any street noise as it's at the top end of Elk Avenue far away from the busier area of the street and there was minimal street traffic; we were there during peak season so I expect its the same way the rest of the year. It's a short drive to the mountain (7 minutes) or you can take the local bus with a stop close by. If you want to cross country ski, the Nordic Center is less than 1 minute away and trail head / parking for the miles of cross country trails is 3 minutes away. It's a great place to create memories!

My family of four just spent an excellent week in CB at the 1st Street Guesthouse. This is such a charming place, very conveniently located to everything in central CB. Elizabeth was a wonderful, accommodating host. Only downside was no designated parking space, but it was not a big issue for us. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice house in quiet part of town
The house was perfect for our family of 4. We each had a bedroom and rarely showered at the same time so only having one full bath was not much of an issue. The kitchen was well supplied so we could cook meals at the house. We loved being right off of Elk Ave but on the quiet end so there was not a lot of noise at night. I will say the only negative is having the bedrooms below the living area. If you go to bed while people are still upstairs you can hear every move they make and word they say. A sound machine helped. Overall it's a nice house in a superb location!

We had a blast during our week in this cabin! I always love a kitchen that is ready to cook in - utensils were plentiful and appliances all worked seamlessly! They had some spices and cooking oils which I appreciated. The kids loved the puzzles too. The house is just off Elk but was very quiet and we loved walking up to the Woods and Lower Loop walk each day. There is a little charcoal bbq which was great. Owner communication was perfect! Overall, highly recommended!

This home was very comfortable for our family of 5. Our favorite features were the concrete heated floors on the first floor and the fact that the living room was on the second floor, which provided privacy from the street without having to put the shades down. Best location in CB, close to everything. The host was wonderful, very easy to communicate with and easy to reach. We did not have any issues during our stay, everything worked. The kitchen was great and everything was very clean upon our arrival.

Our beds were comfy, the home was lovely, we enjoyed every minute in this home. The kitchen had everything we needed. I found the blender broken but it was quickly replaced! Elizabeth was very easy to work with, I will look forward to another visit soon!

Great two story close to Elk
We rented two properties in CB. This one was for our guests and it worked beautifully. It is two houses off Elk st which makes walking to eat or shop so easy. Nicely appointed kitchen and living areas too.

Elizabeth the property manager was great. We extended our stay and it was no problem. The locals are laid back and the coffee shops and restaurants are great. That’s the tip of the iceberg as the hiking, swimming holes and mountain biking were top notch. Don’t miss out on this in town genuine experience.

Perfect location and wonderful accommodations
Perfect location for a family ski trip. The house is just around the corner from all the activity on Elk Ave, but is still very quiet. For skiers, it is a very short walk to the bus stop to take the free bus to the ski mountain. And the house is wonderful. Sound does travel surprisingly well between floors, but it was never a problem. Elizabeth responded promptly to our questions about where things were or how they worked, and the house had everything we needed.

Fabulous house in a great position
Loved the house. In a great position, quiet, short walk to the bus stop. It had everything you could want during your stay, really well stocked. Beautiful view of the mountain and a huge kitchen, light filled living area. Elizabeth was fabulous. Always there when you needed her. Highly recommended.

Perfect location
It was a mother/daughter (and dog) trip. The house is in the midst of all the restaurants and shops, yet very quiet at night. The three bedrooms are downstairs with an amazing soaking tub and spacious shower. We went on a local hiking trip just by walking out the front door. Upstairs is airy and bright with views of the mountain and aspens. Elizabeth is very accessible and helpful. We will stay here again - and may move back permanently.
