Located in Anchorage, this attractive house for $531 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This spacious, executive-style house is located two blocks from the base of Mount Alyeska Resort in the beautiful Girdwood Valley, a 35-minute drive along the ocean shores of Turnagain Arm south of Anchorage. As one of the finest luxury rental homes in Girdwood, this all-redwood-sided house features a large, gourmet kitchen with Brazilian granite counters, a professional gas cook stove, an Indian slate floor, elegant stainless appliances, and a roomy kitchen island for seating and entertaining. Offering over 3,000 square feet of luxurious space, decorations include a variety of local art from Alaska's best known artists and multiple alaskan motif stain glass windows. The main living area has hardwood floors, and features a large open circular fireplace with multiple couchs and chairs around it and a wall of windows with a gorgeous view of Mount Alyeska. There is also a game room area with a pool table, stereo, and a carpeted TV room with a large flat screen TV with cable, DVD/VCR surround sound system and several more comfy couches and chairs for relaxing at the end of a hard day. The main bathroom features a large, multi-person 80-gallon Jacuzzi tub set in travertine tile, perfect for melting your aches and pains away. Wireless internet is available for those travelers needing to stay in touch with the world. There are four carpeted, roomy bedrooms upstairs and a bath to service three of the bedrooms in addition to the Master Bedroom bath (and a third full bathroom on the main level). 1. Master Suite: One king-sized bed, TV/DVD and a private bath with jetted jacuzzi tub. 2. Bedroom Two: Two queen beds and one twin bed, TV/VCR. 3. The location was perfect for exploring the Kenai Peninsula. Girdwood is a neat community. The Faulkner house has character and we felt at home. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out or be together for games and conversation. And the views are amazing!!! Our family would go back in a heartbeat.

Timberline House
The house was beautiful with a view of the Alyeska Mountains. The kitchen was very well equipped and organized. It was clean and there were extra linens if we needed them. Audrey was a wonderful host and offered helpful suggestions for places to eat and things to see. It was kid friendly with plenty of sleeping options.

Audrey and Win Faulkner delivered a perfect vacation experience for us in Girdwood. The home was spacious and comfortable. Audrey stocked it with every convenience imaginable. She was also helpful with advice about outings.

Perfect Stay In Girdwood
Our party of six spanned tween to over 80 years old, and we all loved this house! It was a great launching point for several trips to Seward, though the local hikes were fabulous as well. And you can't beat a one-minute walk to the Girdwood Brewery and Food Trucks. We would love to stay again.

Brought my Texas Family to see Alaska. We rented this great house from Win & Audrey. It has lots of beds, 2 living spaces, 3 baths...perfect for our large group. It is a great satellite location...45 mins from Anchorage...45 mins from Cooper Landing....1 hr 45 min from Seward. Grill. Fire Pit. Loved this place and we will be back!

Property had a lovely, large kitchen which was helpful to have family centered meals and the tv room had multiple different seating arrangements for our group. Pool table and surrounding area provided family entertainment.

Winter vacation at its best
Great place! Very spacious, clean house: 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, plenty of space for kids to play. Well equipped kitchen, laundry room, fire place, etc. Audrey was very helpful, provided all required information, answered all questions, very easy to get in touch with. And if you ski this is a the best location. Located just 1 min drive from the slopes. You can even walk there. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Thanks Audrey!

Girdwood Stay
I have nothing but good to say about our stay in this home. The location was good for the many activities our group of 13 had planned, the home is exceptionally well stocked and comfortable for a large family group such as ours, and the owners always answered questions and responded quickly to any requests. The location felt private even though there was a house next door and was very quiet.
We would definitely choose this house if returning to this area of Alaska in the future!

What a place!
After a 24+ hour journey from Scotland, we arrived at the Five Star Executive Lodge and were immediately blown away. There were 7 adults and 1 child in our group and we stayed for 2 weeks, so it was great to have so much space. The grand open plan living area was fabulous and the perfect place to relax after a day on the slopes, whether sitting by the fire, playing pool, watching a film or having dinner. There was even a fold out table and chairs for dining which we weren't expecting. The house was very well stocked and maintained, and the owners were very thoughtful and helpful throughout our stay. The location was ideal too, being literally a few minutes drive or a five minute walk from the slopes. Highly recommended. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks Win and Audrey!

Lovely home. Great location.
Our family has stayed in Girdwood many times. Usually we stay in the hotel or in a condo. This time I decided on staying in this house. It worked out great. The space is excellent for a family and friends. It is close enough to the ski area and to restaurants and grocery store that the kids can walk. They also walked to the shuttle a couple of times. For once we weren’t all tripping over each other in tight quarters. The large kitchen is great, as is having a clothes dryer since it was a rainy week at the ski area. My wife would have liked to have an outdoor hot tub. We do plan to stay here again.

We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful home. Audrey was awesome to work with. We loved everything about this house. My teenage kids did not have a problem staying entertained playing pool indoors when it rained one afternoon. The location was ideal for us to travel to Whittier and explore the Kenai Peninsula including Seward. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Spacious Home
The great room concept with the fireplace was what we first fell in love with. So much room to move around and feel like we all had our own space. It was nice at the end of a long day to kick back on the recliner couches. Owners were very responsive while we were there (we didn't need much, but a couple of texts to help us navigate!). Everything was very clean as well. We would recommend it to anyone and definitely stay again if given the chance. Thank you!

Beautiful great room with central fireplace. Modern well appointed kitchen that was easy to maneuver in. Recreational opportunities at every turn and separate sleeping rooms and baths upstairs away from activity if desired. A must arrangement for families harmony. Would book again in heartbeat

Outstanding!
We just returned from a six-night stay in Girdwood. Absolutely beautiful home - loved the living room area and the pool table! We spent nearly every night playing pool. The house was very clean and quiet and we were very, very sad to leave. The property is close to Chair 5, which is an excellent restaurant with more than ample servings. Audrey was a pleasure to deal with (very helpful) and left us some wonderful smoked salmon. If we ever return to Girdwood we would most definitely stay here again!

Great Home Near Alyeska
Our group of 7 snowboarders stayed here in early March on our trip to Alyeska. From the minute we pulled into the driveway we knew that we had chosen wisely. The property is very close to the resort, so close that you could gauge conditions by looking out the window. When I entered the home I was blown away at how nice it was. Everything was very clean and there was plenty of space for 7 men and snowboarding gear. While unpacking our supplies we found that the property owners had left us a sampling of smoked salmon that they had caught and smoked, along with some cream cheese spread and crackers. Needless to say we were in heaven from the get-go. It was such a nice personalized touch, and our entire group couldn't stop talking about it. All of the rooms were great, and the house had everything one would need for a weeks stay. The property is very close to the local mercantile, which carried a wide variety of groceries and adult beverages, but I do recommend purchasing your groceries in Anchorage prior to hitting the road. The only tricky business with this property is the trash situation. Make sure to do your research up front and figure out which drop-off locations are open when you plan on leaving, as it is your responsibility to dispose of the trash. All in all this place is killer. Great location, great price, and guaranteed great time. The property owners Winthrop and Audrey are absolute legends, and I will most certainly rent from them again if I find myself heading to Girdwood.
