Tuscan Charm is in pristine condition and furnished with upscale décor. We rent to responsible families and professionals who are a minimum of 25 years of age WHO WILL RESPECT AND CARE for our home by leaving it in the same condition in which it was found upon arrival. This home is not equipped to accommodate high school or college groups, weddings, or receptions. The maximum occupancy is 11 people regardless of age. No smoking, no parties and no pets, please Under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on premises. Our minimum age requirement is 25 y/o. We require one parent for every two persons under the age of 25. A PARENT MUST BE STAYING IN THE UNIT AT ALL TIMES.

Nice home, very close walk to beach, pretty nice pool out back. Rooms are smaller than they look and the stairs can be a lot for young or older guests. But great kitchen and patio, and the close access to the beach made it worth it. Would be nice if there was keyless entry, only one key was available. Communication by the rental property was excellent.

The balcony seating offered a great view of the pool and shade from the afternoon sun. The BBQ was useful for dinners at home. The kids really appreciated the board games, and we added a puzzle for future visitors.
The location was perfect for us! It’s a very short walk across the street from the private beach access. (The home had all that we needed for the beach - a wagon, chairs, boogie boards, sand castle toys, etc. We added a football and a couple pairs of goggles to the collection!). The Winn Dixie grocery store is only a couple blocks away, and there are souvenir stores and restaurants within walking distance.
We enjoyed a few of the Explorie deals- Baytowne attractions and golf at 2 different courses. We also booked a dolphin cruise through Explorie - Cattywampus- and had a blast! We got to snorkel and saw dolphins and other sea creatures! The captain and his mate were super cool - even letting our grandkids steer the boat!
We loved Capt. Dave’s for dinner and had a blast at the Gulf Aquarium in Panama City, where our granddaughter got to swim with dolphins for an early birthday gift. Our adult kids parasailed with Just Chute Me and loved every minute of it.
We had never been to Destin/Miramar Beach, but we will definitely be back! Truly the most beautiful white sand we’ve ever seen! Thank you for a wonderful week of family memories!

First off, let me say that we booked this property last March 2020, before the Covid pandemic closed down much of the country, including Destin and the beaches to tourists. Venturefound (booked through VRBO) would NOT refund our money. It was only after much haggle and hassling ( multiple emails begging )we finally convinced them to at least rebook our trip for the next spring break which was this past week. We would have preferred to have been given a full refund, especially since most other rental management companies were doing the “right thing” during a pandemic. So, now to this weeks rental at Tuscan Charm. The positive - home is beautiful , clean and mostly quiet. The negative- It was not very warm outside which is typical in Destin for March . The a/c unit in this home is programmed to 72 degrees and locked so that guests can not adjust the temperature on the thermostat. Our friends who slept in the upstairs master were miserable and hot every night , so miserable we left a day early. We requested a fan which they delivered , but it still didn’t cool off the room/house enough for sleeping at night. I would suggest putting a ceiling fan in that master to help with circulation if you aren’t going to get a more efficient a/c unit that can properly cool and/or allow guests to set the unit to a comfortable temp. I can’t even fathom how hot it would be in the summer in much hotter temps !
Regardless, we will be very hesitant to book another Venturefound managed property in the future due to the rebooking/refund issue with the pandemic.

The area outside the gates of the community is quite busy (which is expected given its location near everything), so it was very nice to come back to the unit and get away from it all. The courtyard oasis is a very peaceful retreat from the action outside. It's a getaway within a getaway.
Pros:
Nicely appointed kitchen, made all of our meals in the unit without issue (oddly no cutting board though)
Loved the courtyard and unique feel of the tuscan village (though some in our party didn't feel it was "beachy" enough for their taste.
Beds were comfy; slept well
Very clean
Location was convenient to shopping, beach and activities
Nice deck offered relaxing ocean breeze and view of courtyard
Beach wagon and chairs were a nice convience.
Room to park three cars off street.
Cons/areas for improvement:
I wouldn't say it was a value. Lovely stay, but priced like a luxury property. It was beautiful, but maybe a bit steep for what it is.
The noise from the pump of the community hot tub was annoying
Disappointed community pool is not heated. It was unusable during our stay
Lots of stairs if you have anyone elderly in your party
Living room couch was a bit uncomfortable and TV/cable was vexing... I think the tv remote is messed up.
Dryer not optimal. Took multiple cycles to get clothes dry
Downstairs shower got plenty warm but never hot (like some in our party prefer)
A lot of the nearby units didn't have the parking accommodation that this unit has, so it led to many, many parked cars on the street which is an unappealing look and feel for a retreat.
The above cons are mostly just FYIs for owners. It didn't take away from a lovely stay. We enjoyed our weeklong visit.

Great area for a family trip. House was beautiful and it was an easy walk to the beach. We loved the distance to Beach Hut for lunch each day and it couldn’t get much better being that close to Winn Dixie for groceries. Only a few minor complaints would be that the 4th bedroom didn’t have a bedroom door which made it harder for adults privacy to change, etc. we couldn’t figure out how to change the cable channel upstairs but we didn’t call to ask since we just used Netflix. Disappointing that the hot tub wasn’t working at all the entire stay. They said HOA had to approve it to be paid to fix so we were bummed we didn’t have that at all. Might want to note pool closes at 10pm for those who like a late night swim. Overall great spot though, very happy with our experience for our family trip! Thank you!

This property is the perfect place for a family vacation! The walk to the beach is easy and the access to the pool couldn’t be better. We will definitely be back!
