The newly renovated 'A Sandpiper's Dream' beach cottage is in the highly desirable location of Crystal Beach! Located a few steps to the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico ocean. This beautifully decorated three bedroom plus bunk room with two full bath home is dressed in a nautical style in appreciation of the coastal lifestyle. This home boasts a large 18 X 30 PRIVATE GUNITE SWIMMING POOL... NO you do not have to share with a community! Or an entire condominium complex! It is all yours! The large living room and eat in kitchen is sunny & bright with natural sunlight and has a large leather sectional sofa with plenty of seating, free wifi, 50'HD flat screen TV and Blue Ray DVD. Large dining and kitchen area seats 12, fully-stocked newly renovated kitchen with BOSCH appliances, includes KEURIG coffee maker. Enjoy grilling and eating poolside in covered outdoor dining area using the homes gas grill. We loved our stay at Sandpiper's Dream!!! The setup was perfect for our family groups. We appreciated the master suite upstairs being separated from other families/kids. We loved the balcony, the pool and the short walks to the beach. The house could use a deep cleaning and was little weather-worn on the exterior, but overall this was the perfect place for us. It was close to everything we wanted to do and we loved being able to walk along Scenic Highway 98. The beds were comfortable. We appreciated the games and pool/beach toys that were provided.
The only things that could have made it even better was if there had been bikes and a more adequate supply of toiletries like toilet paper and paper towel. We had to buy our own.
We had a slight issue at check in with the keypad going offline, but the manager answered immediately when I called and was able to fix it in less than a minute.
The palm tree at the end of the driveway needs to be trimmed, but other than those minor things it was perfect!

The house is steps from the beach. It is also very close to popular shopping and restaurants and a short drive to other well known areas. Host was on her game with communication.
We did have an issue with the pool heater but the host quickly made it right by getting it repaired. The host made it right by giving a refund for days unused. I would stay again

Property was awesome for our group. House and pool are great. Close to everything. Only problem we had was we could never figure out how to use the ice maker/water dispenser so we just bought ice all week. Great place to stay.

Can't beat the location! The house was very clean as was the outdoor pool area. The beds were VERY comfortable...even the little bunk bed nook was comfy! It's a very short walk to the beach and the pool was perfect. Thanks for letting us stay at your home!!

Unfortunately, it sounds like not all guests respect items stocked by the homeowner. I wouldn't want to continually stock beach and house items either. It's a shame people can't be trusted so you will need your own beach towels and toiletries (toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, trash bags). The beach chairs at the house weren't in great shape (again, not the homeowners fault) so we just used our beach towels. There is a nice beach wagon there for your use which comes in handy. Just a heads up so you can plan ahead! I think this is pretty common in beach towns though. You are very close to a lot of stores that provide those items for a reasonable price.

Coming home from a salty day at the beach, we enjoyed the pool, when we wanted coffee or cocktails, we enjoyed the pool! Basically it was a great choice for us!!! Close to good food and the beach! We are Florida locals and love this location of crystal beach. Upon arrival, our keypad code didn't work but our property manager answered immediately and gave us a different code. The condo is COLD. This is important to mention because a lot of condo owners do not allow the AC to be set below a certain temp and leave threatening notes on the thermometer that you will be fined if it breaks (freezes over). The condo is very nicely decorated and I looooved the roomy upstairs master bedroom (which occupies the whole upstairs). The kitchen is loaded with everything a family could need, including a regular coffee pot and a Keurig. It even has an electric griddle. The backyard was a sweet spot. Plenty of seating around a beautiful pool. There was an outdoor TV (which we did not use), plenty of pool floaties/noodles, and the a large beach cart holding several beach chairs. This is our 4th condo rental and by far the most stocked. The floor is chipped and cracked, but it wasn’t an issue for us at all. I would love to rent this out again in the future!

This was me and my friends’ first time to Destin and the house was perfect! When we weren’t out, we spent most of our time gathered around the kitchen island which was the perfect set up for all of us. The only down side of our stay was that we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the pool as much as we wish we could have!

Area – Destin is crazy during spring break, the traffic is bad, but this home is in a good spot, on a quiet street a block from the ocean. There are several beach access points within a couple blocks, and you can rent chairs/umbrellas on the beach. The house did not have any beach stuff besides the beach wagon. The beach itself is amazing. We traveled in late March, and the high was around 70 throughout the week. There were no bugs at all. We had two families of 4 each and the house had plenty of room for all 8 of us. Loved the beach, fishing, arcades, random jets flying overhead, and the close distance to the waffle house. Didn't love the constant sightseeing helicopter fly-bys and traffic. The house was very clean. It was accessed with a code at the front door. The front porch has a few chairs to relax in. Living Room – The living room has a large TV with cable, a very large couch, and a table for four.Kitchen – The kitchen has at least one of every appliance you would ever need. Bring basket-style filters for the coffee maker. We had to go buy more TP, paper towels, and dishwasher soap tabs…so you should bring that. The kitchen has room for 8 people to sit at the counter. Bedrooms – Very nice upstairs suite, a two-queen room, a king-room (with adjoining laundry…don't run that at night, it's quite loud), and a small bunkbed closet. The bunkbed closet seemed a little awkward, but it actually worked well for our two 3rd graders. Pool/Pool Area – The pool is massive. We paid for the pool heat and it was well worth it. The ocean was too cold to swim (March), but the kids were in the pool constantly, even when it dropped down into the 50's at night. The pool area had a large TV, beach wagon, and a couple floaties. It has 5 lounge chairs, a few little tables, one high top with 4 chairs, and a large picnic table. There's a propane-fueled fire table as well. Overall, we would recommend the place, and would go back. Angela was very responsive when we had an issue with the outdoor TV and when propane tanks ran out, so it is well managed. Thanks Angela!

You can't beat this location. You have 2 beach accesses within one (long) block, you can walk to Camille's for coffee or dinner. A mall with good restaurants and some nice stores is within 4 blocks by sidewalk. It's a safe and quiet neighborhood, not a through street. The back yard pool is big for a rental, outdoor tv worked great, grill was terrific as was outdoor gas fireplace, very private fenced in yard. The master bedroom was big, great sitting area, comfortable bed, nice en-suite bathroom. The two bedrooms with a shared bath on the first floor also a decent size with good tvs and a full size washer dryer room. The bunk alcove was small and shares the same bath, so plan accordingly. Kitchen had everything we needed, updated appliances. Reading some of the past reviews, I would remind all renters that every rental gets a little beat up over the season, so don't expect everything will be perfect. Overall, if I could improve anything I would recommend some sit and enjoy furniture be added to the front and upper porches over what is currently present, and I missed having some bikes (which I could have rented,) but this property owner clearly had the rental experience in mind when furnishing. It can be cozy on a rainy day, but frankly, that's why we were there; to be cozy with our family. Would return to this street and this rental in a heartbeat.

This property was just what we wanted for our Thanksgiving getaway. The pool is quite large for a backyard pool, the kitchen was very well stocked, the beds were comfortable, and it was a short walk to the beach. The property management was excellent. We ran out of propane on Thanksgiving Day and Angela brought us a new tank in no time. We would stay here again for sure!

had a wonderful time here at this awesome house. despite all the issues we had with weather the owner was SOOOO helpful in rearranging our trip and making the necessary adjustments to our reservation AND cleaning up the house due to the hurricane in time for us to enjoy. The beach was super close, the house was perfectly clean, leaves picked up, and the pool was heated and everything! They even brought us a brand new grill that was damaged due to the weather within a really good time frame which was really appreciated. Communication was especially important with this reservation due to all the changes and hurricane drama and they did a wonderful job with that making mob birthday trip work out so well!!!! Thank you for everything ! willl 100% book here again for my next trip to destin!

The property and location was amazing, Due to poor cleanliness and missing amenities our stay was not as expected. The tv in the pool area had a missing remote: and the house was horrifically dirty, we found filth from the previous guests. Other than that this could of been an amazing place to visit!

As everyone says, it was a great location. The only problem we had was getting a spot on the beach because a lot of the condos had their own spots but it wasn't like we couldn't find a spot. The house was beautiful and had enough space for us. Thankfully Angela was really helpful every time and even went to the house after we left because we had left an iPad there >_< thanks so much! We can't wait to return to Destin, it was perfect for our first family vacation together.

This was a perfect place for our girls get away! Super short walk to the beach, yummy restaurant/coffee shop and a quick ride to publix or whole foods. Cute neighborhood and AMAZING pool. Enjoyed the ocean and dips in the pool before dinner. And, the beds were all super comfy with nice linens. Highly recommend for a relaxing get away with families or friends!

Although this property was a good proximity to the beach it comes stocked with NOTHING. We have rented several places in Destin and they have all come with extra paper goods and such.
Several of the glasses in the cabinet had lipstick imprints on them. We ran out of toilet paper the 2nd day. I contacted the manager and she said they don't "stock" it.
The ONLY thing they had was salt and pepper. We had to buy our own toilet paper and paper towels. They didn't even provide extra trash bags!!! There was no lighter to light the grill (once I contacted the manager she brought one over). Halfway thru grilling dinner, the propane tank ran out and we had to go get it filled.
We are on vacation it seems like a lot of "work" having to provide the necessary things for the house.
Although the house is nice and the pool is great, we would not rent this again due to the things mentioned above.

This was our first time to Destin, and I have to say that I was very impressed with this home! First of all, the management of this property is very organized and efficient. We had the code to the home prior to arriving, which made our arrival very easy (did not have to worry about being there at any certain time). The home was clean, spacious, and homey. It was perfect for our group (6 adults, 5 kids). Everyone had their own space with plenty of room for all of our stuff (we had 3 kids ages 3 and under). The closets were huge, big enough that we even put the littles' pack in plays in there so they had their own sleeping room. I like that they kept the décor minimal as we had small children who have a habit of getting into everything. There were hooks everywhere for towels, wet clothes, keys, or whatever else you need. I know this is a small detail, but I appreciated not having everything all over the floor.
The kitchen is very nice, and we loved that it was so open to the living area. The kitchen is pretty much stocked with whatever you need.... we particularly liked the large griddle (and will be purchasing one of our own soon). Again, a small detail, but it made our stay (and breakfast) that much more enjoyable.
The pool is absolutely fabulous!! It is large and heated, which was a plus since we had 70 degree and under weather with rain. The kids did not care, they still used the pool. The outside patio is also wonderful... plenty of room for a BBQ and hanging out by the pool.
We all loved the front porch and spent lots of time just hanging out and relaxing there.
The neighborhood is lovely, and the house is just one block from the beach. You seriously can not find a better located in Destin! Perfect!! There is also a wonderful little local coffee shop just two blocks down and across from the beach. We made several trips there for their coconut lattes.... so yummy!
