The location of this hotel was very good since it was off a main street so foot and car traffic was less. It was an easy and quick walk to the Piazza del Campo as well as the Duomo and everything in between. All of the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. The room was pretty cool due to the structure being an old private castle and the way they integrated modern design elements with the existing architectural elements worked very well. The breakfast was simple yet provided everything we needed to get our day going. Coffee & espresso were great. My wife and I would certainly stay here again on our next visit to Siena.
The only 'minor' thing was the AC. It worked but didn't chill the room enough. A fan was provided to help. We were fortunate that the weather during our visit was high 60's/low 70's during evening/night. Had it been warmer at night, it may have been slightly uncomfortable

Wow, staying in a 12th century mansion isn’t something you do everyday!
It was spacious, unique, comfortable and beautiful, also a delicious breakfast!

You’re staying in a 1000 year old home, a personal palace that is magnificent!! Flavia, Frederica and Claudia are wonderful and beautiful people that will make your stay feel like home!! Amazing staff!!
