This cabin home is absolutely perfect! It was a winter wonderland. We would have loved to just move in and stay cozy for the whole winter. It was well stocked with everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

Our stay at this log cabin in Alaska was nothing short of magical. The breathtaking views of the northern lights from the cozy cabin were truly unforgettable. The cabin itself was not only beautiful but also exceptionally well-stocked, providing everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The attention to detail in the decor and amenities made it a perfect retreat in the midst of Alaska's natural wonders. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone seeking a memorable and enchanting getaway.

Our stay was from Sep 29 to October 7.This North Pole get away is everything that is advertised. If you need to unwind, get lost in your own thoughts this is the place. On a side note, shopping is only 15-20 minutes away in either direction. The construction of the cabin is a trip in itself. The builders knew what they were doing and how to do it. If your thinking of building a log cabin; this is how you do it. The cabin was very clean. The kitchen is large with modern equipment and 95-98% furnished with condiments. You just need to bring the food you want to eat. Don't forget to grill on the fire pit (you need to improvise a grill for it). The water from the faucets is very cold and taste very good (They have a water softener system). The living room is large also with huge viewing windows facing the river. The bedrooms are spacious and well maintained. If you leave a window open at night you may catch a moose call. We were a little late on the leaves changing but there was still some evidence of it. You are surrounded by trees and the Chena River only steps away. The sunrises over the trees was something else. The evergreens are numerous so you get that pine smell on most days. The fire pit (plenty of wood provided) a couple of steps outside the backdoor was a great place to get warm and watch the stars and hopefully the aurora borealis. The host, Bonita, was very accommodating and extremely friendly. I texted her a couple of times with questions and she answered in less than an hour. Most of the return texts were within minutes. She was on top of all situations with a friendly smile. A great host! To top the whole trip, we got snow the last two days. It was beautiful. The evergreens were covered snow. I think the most spectacular thing to see is scots pines trees and evergreens covered in snow. Cons: You have to leave.

This place is stunning and well stocked. Bonita is wonderful. The views from the river are amazing. We even saw a moose or 2. We would definitely stay here again!

My family and I enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Very secluded and peaceful. With the Chena River in your back yard the kids were able fish whenever they wanted. Beautiful fire pit for making s’mores and relaxation.
The home had everything we needed. Kitchen is fully stocked for your baking and cooking. Kitchen also had the Northern Lights for decor. Grandkids loved the lofts for sleeping. The Midnight Sun was amazing. If you get a chance stay in this lovely home.

This cabin was everything we hoped it would be! I rented this place to meet up with my 80’something year old parents who had never seen the northern lights. It was so warm and welcoming and the perfect place to relax and spend time together. It’s close enough to Fairbanks that we ran into town every day for one of the many activities … but far enough out that the skies were dark and star-filled - perfect for Aurora viewing.
The kitchen was fully stocked (pots, pans, mixers, etc) and had everything we needed, and even had some of the necessities in case you forgot to bring salt or pepper with you!! The bedrooms were all comfy and fresh. Lots of windows for animal AND Aurora viewing!! On that note, I’ll say that the location was perfect for Aurora watching. Lots of open space. We were able to catch the news and other shows on the local channels.
The property contact, Bonita, was easy to reach and responded to questions very promptly. She was a delight! I would happily stay here again!

This is our second time staying in Mr. Taylor’s beautiful cabin. We were with friends exploring Fairbanks/North Pole in March with the goal of visiting the ice sculpture competition and the hope of seeing the Northern Lights at night. It definitely did not disappoint our guests from Nevada and Arizona.
As always, the cabin was well kept, very clean, and has everything you will need for your stay. There’s still lots of snow and ice in March so you will definitely need a good 4x4 to get to and from the cabin. We did see a beautiful show of the Northern Lights during our stay there.

We can’t say enough great things about our stay here. The house was just as pictured! It was spotless, the beds were comfy, the river views were beautiful, and the heated floors were a welcome bonus after long days spent exploring outside. The homeowners were great with communicating. We would stay here again in a heartbeat when returning to this part of Alaska.

You do not carry enough stars on your rating system for this place!!!! A truly amazing property right on the Chena River…. This Log Home has everything you could ever need. We are going to try and get back up to Fairbanks again and if they will have us, we would like to stay at the same home and hopefully the people next door will be there also. What a wonderful place….

Not only was this a beautiful home, it had a breathtaking view right from the living space. Everything you could possibly need was there for you. We were very comfortable. Even our 4 year old granddaughter was delighted to find games and books for her and family game night. Loved our stay in Alaska!

Loved this place!
This house was very spacious and a beautiful location very secluded on the river which our grandkids just loved. The house was extremely clean and was very, very well stocked. The kitchen had everything you would need plus a lot of extra food and paper goods etc. Just plenty of towels and paper goods for the bathrooms, too, it was very very nice. We didn’t run out of anything, which was wonderful.

Family vacation paradise
Fantastic trip for family of ten of three generations. Out in"boonies" only 100 feet from river. Caught numerous grayling and even hooked one salmon.
Gorgeous sunsets.
The house? Maybe we should call it a small mansion. Completely stocked with spices, codes, tea, and everything you need. They had soccer balls for kids, books, puzzles, games even a couple of fishing poles (Though we used our own)
Birch wood for fire pit. Perfect for smores.
All utensils and appliances were HIGH end. Exceptionally constructed facility.
What was negative?
GPS makes it hard to find. Downspout of gutter was plugged. We wanted to unplug it ourselves if we had found tool to do so. Internet and TV stations are not great. Jacuzzi in bathroom was so so.
In other words.... gotta look hard to find something negative.
We absolutely loved this place. Very remote with privacy to be with nature. Could hear moose bugling, and watch beavers floating down river. Not that far to Fairbanks or North Pole.

Cabin in the woods
The secluded cabin in the woods is a fabulous place to stay for peace, nature, and relaxation. Comfortable well stock cabin with room for all. We enjoyed games inside and outside. We would stay there again if we are in the area again.

May 2022-Family Time
Extremely happy with our accommodations. Everything you need and more was available to us, including a coffee, tea and hot chocolate bar. Would love to have stayed longer, definitely will like to come back. The granddaughters loved making s'mores and hot dogs over the firepit. The wifi didn't always work but that was good for the kids ended up spending more time outside and playing games that were also at our fingertips. We got to view some wildlife from the property. A moose across the river, a bald eagle landed with its prey on the property and a beaver near by. The only thing we didn't like was the rain during our stay but that was on mother nature. We brought some dvds to watch during the rain fall.
Highly recommend this place. (Hate to say that cuz it will make it harder to reserve for the next time.)

A warm and welcoming home with tons of amenities! The host/owner thought of everything! Having a garage to store our vehicle was a plus--especially in the cold winter nights!
An added bonus was our viewing of dog sledding teams mushing by on the river behind the cabin! Oh, and the floor is heated throughout the cabin. Yes, our toes loved the warmth big time!! --Mark W. Dallas, Texas

Perfect place for family to get together
A true Alaskan experience for our winter getaway! With subzero temperatures and lots of snow on the ground, you’d love to come home to this beautiful warm and cozy cabin. It has all the amenities you can ask for. A beautiful kitchen for a gourmet person to prepare meals, lots of toys and games for kids and adults alike, a fireplace to add ambiance to the living room and masters bedroom., and a garage for your car! It is also driving distance from many of the outdoor attractions around the Fairbanks area. And the best thing is that you can view the Northern lights from the comfort of the cabin!
Thank you To the Taylors for sharing your home!

Christmas Vacation was PRICELESS!!
I was looking for the PERFECT place to have an amazing experience with my mother and my grandchildren. Being able to see Christmas through the eyes of a child, Santa Clause, the North Pole and more snow than you could imagine. The cabin was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and when the lights were off there was a gorgeous blue glow from the Christmas lights inside the house just magical. This vacation did not disappoint. 4 generations of family 5yrs. to 79yrs. The owners of the cabin were unbelievable they gave me Santas phone number, most AMAZING Santa EVER! The cabin was clean, spacious and there was truly, truly more coffee, tea and spices than you could use. We had 6 adults and 3 children and never ran out of hot cocoa, coffee or tea. Every time I emailed the owner (always just questions never a problem) she responded promptly. By the way, heated floors are AWESOME!! I highly recommend this cabin to everyone. We will definitely be back, want to check it out in the spring.

Beautiful property! We had a lovely stay at this elegant cabin on the river in October for our daughter’s birthday. It is spacious, well equipped with a fantastic setting. We loved the artwork too and enjoyed looking through the album that detailed the construction of the cabin. I cannot think of a single thing that was lacking. Bonita was very kind and responded quickly to the few inquiries that we had. We would love to stay again in any season, but early winter with snow on the ground was magical! Thanks so much Bonita and John! We can’t wait to return!

Creme de la Creme
It is a beautiful property. I am so thankful we chose Bonita's cabin. It was well stocked, the owner was beyond accommodating.
The cabin is BEAUTIFUL!
Our Alaskan experience would not of been the same elsewhere.
We wanted to try moose meat. We called the owner and she explained that you can not buy it. But she brought us salmon, I think karaboo, halabot, and I think reindeer jerky.
It was our 1st extended family vacation. And it could not of been a better, no l know it would not of been the same if we were not on Cloud rd.
I HIGHLY recommend this property if you are traveling to Alaska.
THANK YOU Bonita and thank your father for us.
Well done!
