The location was brilliant. The staff were always smiling and helpful. The room was lovely clean and spacious
We chose an outside room and it was hot so had to have the window open and there is a lot of outside noise (nothing to do with the hotel so wouldn’t mark them down).

Airco in this heat of the last weeks. Comfortable bed. At the check-in the manager (I think) gave me a much needed bottle of cool water. Friendly staff.
I stay at numerous hotels about 80 days a year, half of the time in luxury ones. Not for work. Albeit the three positives, for the price it’s very disappointing. “Room with a view…”. Ok, there was a window and a view to the noisy street. That’s not a room with a view, it’s a room with a window. Coffee machine works but you need to hold your cup in place as it moves off of the plate due to the vibration of the machine. Toilet seat moves around when sitting on it (I weigh 58 kg), toilet not dirty but recent calcium deposits were visible which I brushed away. Shower door wouldn’t stay closed for the life of it and it has moldy, calcium deposits on the bottom. Bathroom door had to be forced shut. Towels grayish, in the shower were bath soap, hand soap and shampoo. Bathside: bath soap, shampoo and conditioner as should have been in the shower too. Overall clean bathroom but old and just not up to par with the level advertised. The noise in that street lasts all night long. Drunks and homeless people yelling and screaming.
General: Half of the lamps in the lobby don’t function, rooftop terrace had no iced tea, no orange juice although it is on the small menu. No food, not even a small snack on the rooftop terrace. As I was extremely tired and with the big heat I didn’t want to go back into town so I inquired for room service. It was said that they only do microwaveable food for that. We got something in town, easy enough as it’s in the center of Brussels. The staff was very friendly though, the services just aren’t there.
All in all. I was very happy to get a clean, cool room and a comfortable bed there. But overall it is way too overpriced for a max 2 to 3 star service.
