Nice hotel. Good location - does the job and was a good price
The lift was painfully annoying. Going to all floors and past the floor you were on. Staff also didn't inform us we needed to swipe the card to access guest floors

Breakfast choice was good and plenty of variety. Everything was clearly labelled.
Had evening meal that was over priced and not the best quality. Also they added a large service charge onto the bill without advising or asking if it was ok to do so. I had this removed when I booked out of the hotel the next day.

Central to everything and easy to find after travelling up from Hampshire. All the staff were really friendly and very professional. The rooms were very clean,tea/coffee,iron,ironing board and all the toiletries are provided.
Was surprised that there wasn’t a little/mini fridge in room to keep the bottled water/drinks nice and cold.

The location, room size was decent.
There is a horrific sewage smell when you enter the hotel they try to cover with a scent.
They also never refunded me my £50 room deposit and there wasn’t any reason for them not to. Very disappointing.

Comfortable beds and pillows and location was great
As soon as you entered from street level, there was a strong smell of sewers. Everyone was commenting on it.
Lots of work going on in the restaurant and bar area but hadn’t been advised of this in advance.
Noisy hotel, could hear everything from corridors and being situated near the lift made it worse.
Our bedroom was so hot and nothing to turn it down to cool.

Think the kettle may have had some dirt on the inside as the tea in the morning had a strange almost burnt taste to it but that’s all.

Awesome location
Full of drunk people, there was a party in the room next door, prank knocking at our door at 2am, walls are think so if you’re close to elevator, anyone walking past your room will wake you up

nothing except for its location.
one of the rooms has a broken air condition. when they have been informed about it, they took around two hours to give us another room which is low-grade. literally we spend several hours to sort this out. Even the room we have been transferred to has a bad air conditioner.
secondly, they have bad room services. we called to get ice and we have been neglected until we went to get it ourselves.
the receptionists are not answering phone calls. to get something, we need to walk from floor 12 to 3 to ask them for what we want.
we paid for a 5 star stay but I won’t even give it 3 stars.

Room was ok, comfortable bed, shower was great. Clean and friendly staff.

Receptionest wasn't welcoming on arrival, other than that staff was great. room was tired looking eg. Paint peeling from ceiling, mastic was very poorly done. Windows runners was poor along with paint work.
Unfortunately we had very noisy neighbours, literally screaming and shouting at one another slamming doors throughout the night. So we didn't get much sleep.

Brand new refurbished bedroom which was lovely and despite other areas of the hotel being refurbished this didn't impact my stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and a great choice at breakfast.

The rooms are dated, broken shower screen, plastic skirting kept falling off. The room was dusty & mould in the silicone in the bathroom. The mattress on the bed was like sleeping on concrete! The pillows were too soft. The cot provided for my baby was horrendous, it was a blue flimsy mattress that I wouldn’t out a dog or cat on never mind my child! Dirty Glasses not moved by the cleaner left on the table.

The Service, 3 times we went to the bar and were told to sit down and someone would come to us. No one ever did. Also in the bar area there were no toilet facilities due to maintenance being carried out, we had to go back to our room to use toilet.

I was booked into the wrong room and entered when a couple were in bed , late at night and it was totally unacceptable error that the two other guests were naked and must of thought i was some kind of a robber

For what I paid for the room I expected a little more.
Room was a fair size although no bath or minifridge in the room which was slightly disappointing.
First time in a Hilton hotel and was expecting a bit more glam, although having paid £120.00 not sure if this is the standard entry level Hilton has to offer. The room feels dated compared to other budget hotels that i have stayed in the offer ambient lighting, minifridge etc. i suppose there is an element of paying for the name.
Reception staff should inform guests that the lift only works on activation of the card too.

I have stayed here many times with my wife. I explained to a lady on reception that sadly my wife had passed away. She immediately upgraded me to a suite. What a lovely gesture I was really touched. Thanks

The room was large and comfortable
The complimentary bottle of water in my room was unhygienic (realised it was dirty inside after opening the cap), I pointed it out to the staff but they did not seem to care. I paid 88 pounds for one night when you can find a room for half the price nearby, so this is not what I would expect. Plus the refund of the deposit takes too long.

Arriving at property our room was located next to a loud group - so we paid extra to upgrade to a suite (well worth it!)
The staff from reception (Charmaine) restaurant, breakfast - all amazing. (Apart from something which I’ll explain in next section)
Robes, slippers, coffee and tea - all a nice touch. The breakfast was delicious and such a great selection. Location wise - perfect to bars/clubs.
Parking is onsite but the car park is TIGHT.. my other half was not comfortable driving in it lol.
All in all a great stay!!
We had to make a complaint about the evening security. Our friend (who lives in Leeds) joined us to get ready with us before a night out, leaving things in our room - we were celebrating our proposal - he met us at the hotel for pre drinks (but he wasn’t staying)
We heading back to the hotel AFTER our night out - he needed to grab his belongings. Security wouldn’t let him in unless we “tossed him some money”
We explained he was collecting his belongings from him being with us earlier.. but they made me stay downstairs until he returned from getting his things. After we’d finally got into our room - they then turned up at our door to search our room for “extra people” hiding in room. It did feel like they “had it in for us” - It was ridiculous and we complained on check out. Charmaine sincerely apologised and said she’d investigate it. Because of her amazing customer service we would stay here again but really hope the security are dealt with as we were made to feel like children.

When we arrived the escalator was not working so we had to drag our bags up the stairs as the lifts were not signposted
The room was very basic considering I paid £130 for one night and we had an adjoining room which we were not told about on booking.
The people in the room next to us, tried a few times to open the adjoining door and were noisy late into the night.
Adjoining rooms should be given to bigger party's who actually know each other.
The windows are not double glazed so we spent all night with the heating on as it was freezing in the room.
No proper lighting in the room, just background lights behind the mirrors

The hotel was beautiful, lovely, family friendly and accessible which is brilliant as I am a wheelchair user. Room has an accessible bathroom which was fantastic.
Even with the heating in the room turned full up in the room both me and my son were freezing despite sharing a bed also. When you are disabled you do feel the cold more. Would of been nice if there were extra blankets in the cupboard for just in case as it was late and we didn't want to disturb the desk staff so late.

My room was lovely, spotlessly clean, bed was very comfortable, room temperature was kept at a good level, great facilities in the room tea/coffee, iron and ironing board (which I used). The breakfast choices were amazing from full English to a buffet, opted for the full English and it was fantastic didn't need to eat until late evening that were was that much available. The staff were lovely, so helpful greeted at breakfast by a lovely lady who's name to my shame I forgot to get, I know the lady was expecting a baby. Such a warm friendly lady made me feel very welcome. The lady who cleaned my room every day was lovely too, always a smile and a good morning when I saw her in the corridors and my room was always spotless, which to me is very important. Again I didn't get her name but she had long blonde/brown hair slim build and again such a lovely welcome smile when I saw her. Very impressed and will definitely be back.
The only thing I didn't like was that I had to leave a night early, absolutely no fault of the hotel and nothing to do with my stay there, it was purely related to the train strikes. Honestly though I didn't find anything I didn't like I really enjoyed my stay, thank you.
