Rated RAC 4 star so a cut above the usual pub. Nicely furnished room. I enjoyed the biscuits they provided. Excellent breakfast.
One of the best hotels I stayed in this trip. In common with most British country hotels no aircon or mini bar.

The deputy manager very helpful and changed my room as first room not acceptable.
Some of the waiting staff pleasant.
Frosty receptionist on arrival and departure.
1st room offered not up to coaching inn standard.
Outside seating area to rear was horrible.
£9 glass of Rose was warm.
Both our breakfast poached eggs hard.
Buffet disappointing with a communal bowl of butter that everyone had to dip into (???) and no marmalade (,???)
Self help toast never our favourite and only one side of the 4 slice domestic toaster worked....?
