The staff behind the bar and the table service bringing our food to the table went above and beyond especially during the evening of September 6th, we were very well looked after excellent friendly service which made our experience as a group of 13 dining with you extremely pleasurable. Cooked breakfast was very good. We had the veggie option and it was very varied and tasty.
Continental breakfast was rather limited and was not really adequate if you didn’t want a cooked breakfast, but what was on offer was nice.
The staff were friendly and always willing to help.
The rooms felt clean and had plenty of storage space.
Location was lovely as you could look out over the town and also back towards the hills.
The bedroom we were in ( no. 12) was tired and the double bed was tiny. I hardly slept all night as my husband kept hitting me every time he turned over!
The furniture is functional and simple but lacks character and cohesion.
The shower thermostat seems to have given up as even when turned fully to cold it was still too hot to actually stand under it.
Personal preference: I don’t like instant coffee and don’t drink black tea, I settled for a hot chocolate but a herb and/or fruit tea option would have been nice, especially as no bottled water was available as an alternative.
Toiletries are the bare minimum (a shower/hair gel) so remember to take conditioner and body lotion if you use them.
Our room was at the front level with the outdoor drinking area so was rather noisy, but as it was our families wedding party making the noise I ignored it. But if you want a quiet room, ask for one at the back!

Room basic and small, but clean and comfortable.

Continental selection poor selection and poor quality: small boxed basic cereal and little additional options.
