Location was ok for what we wanted close to chepstow and Bristol
Room was dark and could do with extra sound protection from the windows. Meals and drinks on the expensive side for what you got change the bacon cheap streaky bacon is not the best thing for a breakfast. Noisey plumbing in our room woken up both nights by next room flushing the toilet. Seemed to be limited to the rooms over the bar. Our friend did not have the same issue

Location is very peaceful. yet only 5 minutes from the motorway. Great food.

Staff excellent, location from main roads.
Food delicious, breakfast and dinner, great selection.
Very old and unique, delightfully and tastefully decorated to suit, very quiet village area. Car parking and 3 electric charging.
Rooms well equipped. Beds comfortable and large Lovely sunny location with seating outside the front and ample tables and shade in rear beer garden.
Twisty turn stairs might not suit some. Ground floor room available. Bar closed at 11 even to residents which I wasn’t aware, no other pubs shops in walking distance.

Location was good
There were a number of minor things that just added up to make us decide we would not return here. I was served an out of date drink that smelled bad. Advised staff and got a refund but they didn’t remove the other cans from their fridge.
Service was slow at dinner and had to ask for steak knife, asked for water twice. Dinner was just ok. Breakfast tasted good but wasn’t presented very well.
The room wasn’t as nice as expected. The beer garden was closed due to wasps which was a shame. Overall, a bit disappointing.
