location -- it takes 20 min on foot to get to the city center, or 10 min by bus which leaves across the street. Room size was good, breakfast was decent (although not particularly outstanding)
In many ways this hotel does not raise to the expectations of a 4 stars hotel. I would expect at least a fridge in the suite of a 4 stars hotel. When I asked for an iron and an iron board at the reception, they told me that they probably didn't have one (!). It turned out they did. The hotel is not good for families with small children: there isn't a single corner in the hotel common areas where the kids can eat a snack. There is a large terrace with a garden, but it belongs to the bar and kids cannot play there. There isn't a small playground or playroom on the whole hotel premises.
Hotel guests in the Salzburg region can get public transportation tickets for free, but the hotel did not provide with this information at the check-in. We were aware of this, so we asked for the tickets, but we would have expected such an information to be shared.
