The property was near #12 Hop On Hop Off stop, so it was easy to get an overview of the city. Very close to Hollyrood Castle/Kings Gallery. If you like walking, it is at the bottom of the Royal Mile, so easy to explore the whole Royal Mile - from bottom to top. The room was spacious. Staff friendly. Breakfast was A+. Loved the afternoon peach tea in the lobby as you return to the hotel. While we didn’t use it, the gym was great for keeping in shape - spacious and well equipped.
The clerk at the front desk saved us, when our Uber was severely delayed, getting us to the airport on time.
A minor ding is that the hotel restaurant menu is a little limited but the food is very good. Just gives you good reason to go out and explore. If you’re not a walker (or cannot do hills), keep in mind that everything is uphill from there, at the very bottom of The Royal Mile.

Clean
In my mind we spent a lot of money for the room. To be placed in a back alley at ground level where anyone passing could look in the window forced us to have the curtains drawn in the middle of the day. Our 10th night at a Marriott in just over 14 months, this one was the most disappointing.
