The whole of our stay was most enjoyable, the food excellent and the room comfortable. What made the stay so special was the attitude of the staff, their kindness and consideration at all times.

I really enjoyed my overnight stay on a 60 mile walking trip around the dales. The staff were fabulous and attentive. Breakfast was served at at a reasonable time (great choices and very filling) which is really important when walking. It's a great location. I loved the chance to soak in a bath. My room meant absolutely no noise from bar or road (room 4, p.s. you have to walk outside the building to reach). They have a huge dining area.
My only criticism of room 4 was noise from room above, lots of very noisy floorboards. But it is removed from the "minor" road so no traffic noise and no bar noise.
