breakfast excellent choice. coffee lovely better than most i have had out of a machine. Room had everything we needed slept like a log. Did not have dinner

The hotel was clean and comfortable, with beautiful peaceful grounds and lovely views of the golf course. The staff were also friendly and welcoming.
There was nothing major that I disliked, although the rooms could benefit from a little modernisation.

Very comfortable and spacious room. Good food in both the restaurant and bar, both of which have very welcoming and friendly staff. Lots of parking space, even though busy.
It was rather chilly in the bar and restaurant and a jumper was definitely required.

It was peaceful apart from the couple who were next door to us at like 7.30am talking quite loudly in the hallway so disturb us as we were not ready to get up yet. That’s not the fault of the hotel, just inconsiderate people.
It’s an impressive place to pull up to & security is good.
The inside is also impressive to look at.
Considering it states that you can book in anytime after 3pm that did not happen, we arrived at the hotel at 3.25pm to be told our room number 037 wasn’t ready & it would be another 10 minutes, I asked again at 4.10 & again was told no so at 4.20 I asked if it was ready as we needed to get ready for our sons engagement party of which we were being picked up for at 6pm & we were then given the key card for the room.
As then we were in a rush to get ready I went straight into the shower of which is very slippery & there was no shower mat to be seen & the floor also is not the best when wet. When looking in the hotel information folder apparently there should have been a slip resistant bath mat in the wardrobe but there was nothing there.
The slippers that are meant to be provided of which we do not use anyway because of the thought of unnecessary waste I noticed that there was only one set in the room & not two sets anyway.
The electrics are a strange way of working but too much to go into that, our room wasn’t just simply the main switch as you walk in & the fire sensor in the ceiling was flashing every so often too which was a little annoying at night.
Then the following morning we went for breakfast at 9.30am, there was no one at the door to take your room number & it was only when another guest told us that they just walked in that we decided to do the same. It was difficult at first to find a seat just for the two of us due to it being busy but also you could see some tables people had finished & gone but staff were slow to clear what was left behind.
When we got back to our room at 10.10 our key card wouldn’t let us in although you do not need to leave until 11am so I then had to go back to reception to solve the problem, I was told that if you have the card anywhere near your mobile phone it affects the card but the card hadn’t been anywhere near any phone.
