It was possible to walk there from the university building where I was working.
The reception staff were very welcoming and polite.
The room was clean and the Wi-Fi worked without any problems.
I found that the breakfast menu was not varied enough.

Customer service was excellent, even got a courtesy call before my stay. The room was good for my stay, clean and comfortable. What was a first for me, there was the usual tea/coffee but additionally a cafetiere with proper coffee, fruit bowl, packet of sweets/biscuits. Location was quiet and only a short walk to main Clifton area of Bristol

Room was fine but TV didn't work consistently. I had to turn the power off and on again to get the remote to work and couldn't adjust the screen brightness which was so dark as to be unwatchable.
Reception wasn't staffed when I arrived. In fact I had sufficient time to walk to the rear of the hotel and find the car park. On returning to reception, there was still nobody there. In all around 25 minutes wait before I could check in.
Signs around the hotel indicated a 'freshly cooked breakfast'. It wasn't. There were no cleared tables when i went for breakfast. Eventually I found a seat and ordered a full english and tea. The young lady escaped before i could tell her there was no cutlery or condiments. She returned with tea but no milk and again ran off before i could ask for milk. I went to the buffet bar for some but there were no jugs, glasses to get any. When breakfast was served it was cold and clearly not 'freshly cooked'. Not a pleasant experience at all.
