Such a beautiful hotel with so much Scottish character and charm. We only spent a day here, but I already know I’ll be coming back! The location is perfect, so close to the city centre and all the shops

Good location, friendly staff and the room was big
Despite the room size it was missing some really key things.
I was put in room 10, which is at the front of the property on the main road. There is no soundproofing on the windows, and the traffic started getting noisy at 5am, no curtains, only wooden blinds in the windows, so it was bright too. The room was warm, but I couldn’t leave street level windows open. And it’s next to the front door, so I could hear everyone coming in and out.
Some things that would make it just a bit better:
The room had no full length mirror, no safe and lacked things like hooks for towels or coats and shelves to put toiletry in the bathroom and shower.
It felt like it had been decorated but not really much consideration for someone staying in it.
