Nestled in Ocean Beach, this attractive house for $387 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Welcome to Casa Azul! This 1930s craftsman Spanish style home has been completely remodeled, giving guests authentic charm with updated amenities. The home consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, kitchen, dining room, and an extra sleeping room with daybed and trundle perfect for kids. The modern kitchen has everything you need and is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc. The spacious master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed with luxury sheets. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and full closet with pack n play and high chair. The third sleeping room has a twin size day bed and trundle. This room does not have a door, but has a room divider for privacy. The bathroom is fully stocked with towels and accessories. The living room has a flat screen smart television and opens up to a lovely deck with outside seating great for people watching. You will find some board games, puzzles, and toys under the living room coffee table chest. There is a separate dining room with seating for 6. Off the dining room you will find the extra sleeping room. The kitchen opens up to the backyard with an outdoor dining table with seating for 8. The backyard has a bar area, deck, grill, and tea lights, making it the perfect sanctuary for a relaxing evening. You will find beach chairs, a wagon, umbrella, and a variety of beach toys located in the outdoor storage shed. There is a full washer and dryer located in a laundry shed with complementary detergent and dryer sheets. Located just 3 blocks from the beach, with some of the best restaurants, shops, and nightlife steps away including the original OB Noodle House. This location is ideal for anyone looking to explore one of San Diego's most popular beach communities. It is walking distance to the beach and the heart of Ocean Beach. Whether you are looking to relax by the beach or explore the many sites and activities San Diego has to offer, my place offers everything you might need. The town of Ocean Beach has everything from shopping, restaurants and entertainment in a relaxed beach setting. It is only minutes away from Sea World, Gaslamp District, Little Italy, Old Town, Balboa Park, and La Jolla. Parking is available on the street. -comfortable beds and living area
-planes do fly over as expected when not far from airport but it was always quiet at night and a non-issue for us
-appreciated the provided supplies so did not need to buy things like dishwasher soap etc.
-being able to walk only a few minutes for coffee,groceries and restaurants, the beach was so convenient
-location was great as used Uber to go downtown , the zoo, La Jolla etc. in only 20 minutes or so
-neighborhood is super friendly
-would stay again

This home was excellent for our 6 day stay while visiting our daughter and son in law in San Diego. Convenient location to airport and other sightseeing destinations and was great to start and end each day centrally located in Ocean Beach with a short stroll to the beach and some great dining and drink options within walking distance. Would def pick this home for a stay again!

My husband and I simply loved our stay in this cute little bungalow! The house was updated and very comfortable. We worked remotely and the Internet is super fast! It’s walking distance to the beach and restaurants. We especially enjoyed walking to the local farmer’s market (Wednesdays). We picked up fresh bread and fruit for our stay, along with dinner for that night.
Sarah was easy to communicate with and the house was equipped with everything we needed - even washing detergent for the washing machine! I wish we could stayed longer. Would highly recommend a stay at this property!

Perfect size for our three-person family. We especially loved the kitchen and access to a washer and dryer.
Walking distance to excellent restaurants and only minutes from the beach, we would absolutely recommend this property.
For those who are sound-sensitive: the house is on a major roadway and the airport air traffic took a minute to get used to but you'll hear the planes almost anywhere in Ocean Beach. These factors wouldn't stop me from staying there again.

House is just as advertised--very charming and quaint. There were more features in the home than we had a chance to use--front patio, back patio, bbq, gear. Great access to beach and main thoroughfares. Kitchen fully outfitted. Hostess was very responsive and helpful.
Considerations--if you like to have the windows open, the airport traffic will wake you up at 7:30am daily; shared laundry was weird but never had to wait; Point Loma Blvd is a very busy street, so front yard requires close supervision of smaller children.
Definitely recommended and will keep in mind on a return trip.

This clean and well-appointed home is within walking distance from just about everything—restaurants, a grocery store, and the beach. Communication and instructions were clear. House was tidy and clean. It is in a bustling area, so yes, there is some street noise as others have noted, but that’s a trade-off for the great location of the home.

Property was very clean and located on a busy but convenient street. We really enjoyed our stay! Owner was very accomodating with early check-in and also super quick to respond to messages. The only complaint I have is one of the beds is near the end of its life so it sinks in quite a bit when you lay down.

House was amazing and exactly as described. Quick walk to the beach and downtown Ocean Beach. To address some call-out's from other reviews 1) never had an issue with parking in front of the house 2) near record high temps while visiting, but no issues with the house being uncomfortable (bedrooms have AC) and spent almost all of our time on the porch 3) Ocean Beach has all the character San Diego has to offer (funky surf town with amazing shops and restaurants) 4) super easy to drive all around San Diego and the surrounding beaches & attractions.
Would definitely stay here again.

My family and I (wife and 3 kids) really enjoyed our stay in OB san diego. We were not familiar with the area and were very charmed by the local scene. The house is clean and well up kept, Kitchen is really fully stocked so perfect if like me you like to cook.

The street is busy but didn't bother us as we were looking for the "Ocean Beach" experience. We walked to bars and restaurants and enjoyed the farmers market. The Beach was only 5-10 minute walk away.
Ocean Beach is a layed-back, residential community. If you are looking for something "snooty" this is not the place.
Easy drive to San Diego Zoo, La Jolla, and downtown San Diego.

This is an older quintessential San Diego home which is clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, nice dining area for 6 people and pretty comfortable beds. It is on a very busy street which I found to be a little loud at times but that may not bother some people. The owner was very responsive when we had an issue getting the heater to work.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend if you are looking to stay in the middle of the hustle & bustle of Ocean Beach.

We came to San Diego because my husband had several doctor appointments at UCSD. We rented the house so we would be able to make some of our own meals and have room to stretch out a bit. Check-in was easy. The house was nice and clean. We were concerned the first night because the low temperature was in the upper 40s and the house only has one wall heater in the dining room. Although the pilot light was on, we never did figure out how to turn the heat on. However there were plenty of blankets for the beds and throw blankets in the living room. We found that we stayed quite comfortable without any extra heat. Sarah was quick to respond to the questions we had. Parking was not a problem. We always had a place to park in front of the house. The one down-side is that the house is on a busy street. All-in-all we were very comfortable. Thank you Sarah.

The house is well stocked and wonderfully located. We were here for my son’s MCRD graduation and it took us no time to get to base and every other place we went. Fantastic restaurants in the neighborhood! Sarah was easy to contact and answered questions quickly. Would definitely recommend this place!

We stayed for 6 days and it was such a great experience! the house is beautiful and so is the backyard. The house was so cozy and felt like a home away from home! I definitely recommend this VRBO to anyone visiting San Diego it's easy to get to and I also loved that it's so close to the beach and so many amazing restaurants!!

Casa Azul is a nicely updated home that was perfect for our family vacation. We had two kids under 5, so the house was great for them to run around and play without bothering any neighbors below or above. There were lots of kitchen and beach supplies that were very useful. Street parking was not an issue for us, but we were usually home by 7. There is street cleaning every Friday morning in front of the house, but we just parked across the street. The home is in the flight path for planes taking off, so it took a few days to get used to the noise. And the home does not have AC, just lots of windows and ceiling fans in each bedroom. But we greatly appreciated that this is a pet-free home due to my husband's allergies. Overall, the home was really nice and perfect for what we needed!

We were in town for our sons boot camp graduation. This house is close to base and airport. We enjoyed walking to beach, shops, restaurants and bars. Great communication with host. The house’s kitchen is very well stocked. It does not have air conditioning but does have fans.

We had a great stay - it was very convenient to everything our family wanted to do in San Diego. As other guests commented, the road is busy and it was a little loud with the traffic, airport which is very close and nearby building construction that was ongoing during our stay. The host was very responsive and the property was clean and well maintained. The space was perfect for our family of 5.

OB House stayed July 21
We have stayed at Sarah's house about 2 weeks on July. She is a great host, very responsive and reliable. If you look for a place in Ocean Beach to stay, I would definitely recommend this place.
It is a walk distance to everywhere. Bars are around the corner. Lots of people go for surfing here as well as the beautiful sunset.
The house is comfortable, kitchen has everything you would need. There is an outdoor seating area front and back. The other units are separated with a fence so it is very private.
The house is on Sunset Cliff road, which is quite busy. We had arrived on a Saturday afternoon and still found a parking spot front of the house. Parking was one our concern but we never had an issue with it.
Zoo, little Italy, old town, ... They are really easy to drive from the house. We loved it.
If you have a baby,infant,kid Sarah is great in accommodating all your needs. I appreciated it a lot.
The only thing I have complain is being close to the airport. It is very loud till 10 pm. Then it slows down. This is a personal thing may not apply to you. We are sensitive to noise level.
All in all, I would definitely recommend Sarah's house, if you are looking for a stay at Ocean Beach.

We are a family that walks a lot, and we were thrilled to be close to the beach and all kinds of fun restaurants, bars and shopping. Be sure to get an acai bowl at the Tiki Port around the corner. Oh, and a beer at Mike Hess. And noodles at the OB Noodle House. Ocean Beach (and San Diego in general) is awesome and this is a really cool location to have as home base. The house was a bit warm in the afternoons and sometimes it was noisy with the traffic, but overall, it was an awesome stay, and we'll be back if they'll have us!
