The location is excellent, right on one of the main areas and the staff were very welcoming on our arrival and throughout our stay including helping us with our suitcases on the stairs. The air conditioning was great especially in the August heat, we never had any issues. The breakfast was wonderful, a selection of food you are able to pick the night before.

When we arrived, the host was very welcoming and took my suitcase up several flights of stairs to our room. The room was clean, light and airy and the air-conditioning kept the room lovely and cool in 30 degree heat. The bed was lovely and comfortable and the shower was powerful, easy to operate and had a spacious enclosure. We were up on the top floor adjacent to the reception room where breakfast was served each morning. The breakfast was typically Italian: bread, croissants, coffee and fruit. Cereal and yoghurt was also available, and Hinda kindly brought soya milk for me on the second morning because I’m lactose intolerant. We got a good night’s sleep every night, even though the hotel is located right in the centre of the town, which is perfect for exploring. On our last morning, the host allowed us to store our luggage in the reception area so we could spend our last day walking around Florence in comfort. When we collected the cases later, he kindly called us a taxi and helped load our luggage.
The only aspect that might be difficult for some people was the stairs. Our room was up 4 flights which, as a reasonably fit, able-bodied 60 year-old was a challenge in 30 degree heat.
