Real Review: Disclaimer-The owners and staff of this hotel are friends, almost like family. They treat us like family. This is a small family run hotel. Employees have worked there for decades. Hotel is located on a hillside. On the uphill side is a short walk to Siena through Porta Romana. 10 minutes walk to the piazza. Behind the hotel, the hill falls away, and the view across Tuscany stretches for many miles! The garden behind the hotel where you eat breakfast, cocktail hour or an afternoon nap is sunny, peaceful and calm. It has a wonderful view looking South through the Tuscan hills. Great breakfast included, made to order coffee, well stocked bar. Daily made service, good toiletries, great bath towels, comfortable beds. Good parking. The front desk, which also acts as parking attendant, valet, reservations, concierge, and bartender is personalized perfection. The kind of place where you leave your brass room key at the front desk when you leave, so they know to make up your room. We have travelled through Tuscany a few times to see the Palio, and have always stayed here. The price is always more than fair, inexpensive by US standards. And when we return, we will not waste time on the internet looking for something better. We will book this hotel again without any reservation
This hotel is very friendly if you have mobility issues (good elevators, ramps), the remainder of Italy is not. Walking up into Siena is safe and takes 10-20 minutes, depending on your walking speed. During our most recent trip, we were travelling with another couple. I made a mistake and booked for the wrong dates. When we got there, even though the hotel was full, they corrected my error and provided rooms at a lower cost that i had reserved. Amazing hospitality. To me, this hotel feels like my Tuscan home, complete with full service.

A lovely hotel, with delightful staff right on the doorstep of Siena. The views of the Tuscan landscape from the gardens and restaurant are sublime. The breakfast was a definite plus when you have such wonderful views.

The hotel was amazing. The room was a very good size, great air conditioning. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of choice for breakfast. The gardens were stunning and you can sit there any time of the day and enjoy the views. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect, approximately 15 minute walk to the main square. Would highly recommend this hotel

Great view from the room, that bathtub was great! Really clean, the bed was too soft for my liking. Lucio was super helpful! All the staff was really nice
A bit far from the center to walk on hot days, but easy to get the by public transport
