We booked this hotel because of the many positive reviews. Pre arrival communication with the hotel was very good. On arrival the welcome was excellent very personal. Our room was clean and spacious not to mention modern with lots of plug sockets! The layout of the hotel is misleading, been on a side street it doesn't look much from the front but inside its spans across 5 floors. The top floor includes a roof top bar and lounge/ restaurant.
The rooms lead off a very stylish corridor with every door set back providing a unique personal touch.
Comfort - The beds had a lovely comfortable mattress and the windows has a wooden blind which totally blocked out the light which was a nice touch. The room has been well thought out with a partition separating the main room from the bathroom sink/ vanity area, toilet and shower which was hot and powerful.
Value for money - We booked two rooms for two nights and was reasonable priced. There was added value thrown in which we haven't experienced in other hotels we have stayed at which was a real plus:
1) Complimentary drinks voucher - note up to the value of 15 euros each - we had a round of cocktails in the roof top bar.
2) Discount for the spa - we didn't use these.
3) Free mini bar which was well stocked with snacks, water, orange and a beer. Empty the bar and they refill it the next day. What a bonus.
We didn't eat at the hotel but the restaurant looked stylish and personal with individual booth areas to eat like a VIP.
If your travelling to Lisbon we would highly recommend this hotel but be warned although the location is idea there is lots of steep hills to climb!
We were disappointed with the hotel spa and pool arrangement. We got our speedos on and travelled down to the 3rd floor for a relax in the spa. As the lift doors opened there was a desk with two members of staff ready to guide you into the spa. What we didn't realise was you have to book and there is only space for 10 people so if its full and those 10 guests decide to spend all day relaxing there is no opportunity to use the spa. The pool was found out you had to wear a cap which my kids said they would refuse to wear.
My recommendation would be to let guests know the spa arrangements as they book in and add a notice in the rooms as a reminder.
We didn't have any welcome notices in our room which was something we missed. This could have prompted us to use the restaurant or book the spa. The Wi-Fi code was written on the key card but we had trouble reading it and had to call reception. The Wi-Fi signal wasnt great so improving this would be helpful especially for people travelling for business.
Lastly I was disappointed that we didnt have a nespresso coffee machine only a kettle in the cupboard with sachets of coffee and not enough milk not to mention the tiny cups so small my wife had to fill two for a decent cup of tea!!

La ubicación excelente. El personal del hotel súper amable, especialmente los y las recepcionistas.
Aunque el desayuno es buffet y hay variedad, la calidad es mejorable. La fruta está buena pero el embutido es de baja calidad, el zumo de naranja no es natural y el café es de cápsulas -¿dónde está el café recién hecho por la mañana? En un hotel de 4* debería ser obligatorio-. La bollería tampoco es la mejor.
En el baño no hay pasta de dientes, y el champú y el gel son el mismo. El agua de la ducha sale con poca presión. No hay persianas, y para encender y apagar las luces hay que ser ingeniero… -están los interruptores del baño y de todas las lámparas de la habitación al lado de la puerta y hay que estar probando de una en una para ver cuál enciende qué.
En cuanto al spa, muy pequeño y sin gran cosa. Sólo hay una pequeña piscina con literalmente dos chorros, sauna y baño turco, sin apenas espacio entre uno y otro.
Lo dicho, muchas cosas mejorables para tratarse de un hotel de 4*.

The location was great. The breakfast was really nice and the welcome drink offered at the beautiful roof terrace. Staff was professional and friendly.
We had a room with own terrace. Eventhough everything was super nicely decorated and well organised, we had a huge dead plant at the terrace. This kind of spoiled the view, dont know why it wasnt replaced/removed. The restaurant was above our room, so late in the evening tables and chairs were moved around with loud noise. Also the front door locks were very noisy, so you always wake up when rooms nearby start leaving their rooms. The room setting made you feel like you were on a cruise, as the toilet&shower were built with modules, as were all rooms.

Freundliches Personal (besonders Yasoja), gute Lage, kleiner Spa und Fitnettbereich. Gutes Frühstücksangebot, auch für Veganer. Schöne Bibliothek zum Arbeiten und/oder Verweilen.
Öffnungszeiten Spabereich nicht optimal, wäre schön wenn es am Abend länger auf hätte, damit man abends noch in die Sauna gehen kann. Dampfbad war während der letzten Tage unseres Aufenthalts ausser Betrieb.

The hotel is in a fabulous location. We loved the spa. Bed was very comfortable and room was extremely clean.
I emailed and contacted the hotel several times prior to arrival because our flight was changed to a very early time and we arrived at 8am. I was hoping we could check in earlier than 4pm. We had a long day and finally got the key at 3.45pm. This was disappointing.

Tout est parfait : l'accueil (un merci particulier à Yasoja pour sa gentillesse), la chambre avec le mini bar gratuit rechargé tous les jours, l'équipement de la chambre, le petit déjeuner fabuleux, le rooftop et sa vue sur Lisbonne, le spa pour se détendre. L'hôtel est idéalement situé pour découvrir la ville.

Excelente localização, perto de restaurantes e de algumas atrações turísticas, que podem ser acessadas a pé. Os funcionários são muito atenciosos e simpáticos, dando ótimas dicas, quando solicitados. O quarto tem bom tamanho, cama confortável e o frigobar era reposto diariamente sem custo. Café da manhã com buffet com muitas variedades e muito bom, além de ter uma ótima vista da cidade, incluindo o castelo de São Jorge. O hotel tem estacionamento, o que facilitou para nós que viajamos com criança com menos de 2 anos e utilizamos o carro alugado para conhecer outras cidades de Portugal.

Location: Perfect location! We could go to most of the attractions by walking. When not, it was close to the yellow bus station, so we could have a day pass to spin around.
Room: Just as advertised. Super clean, everything in perfect conditions. The frigobar is refilled everyday and everything in it is for free. Really nice touch!
Breakfast: plenty of food, including the "pastel de nata". Simply amazing.
Staff: This one deserves a real shout out! They are incredible, super polite and proactive. We were celebrating our anniversary and were received with champagne and desert in the room, along with a sweet letter from the staff with their best wishes.
Late checkout: as we had a late flight, they allowed us to extend our stay until 1pm and, then, kept our bags for us, without any extra charge. Another incredible touch!
Restaurant: The food was really tasty, but the serving is small for the price. Regarding the price, it was above the practiced in any of the restaurants we visited around the area, both for food and wine.
Pool: The pool is small, but they book per hour to up 10 people at the same time, so it is manageable.
Half rate: if you want to extend your stay for half a day by paying half rate, it is not possible. Either you pay full rate, like you were staying another night, or you try to manage a late checkout for a couple of hours after the end of your stay. But it was totally compensated by what I described on the "Late Checkout". Maybe this could be a suggestion for implementing it.

Super céntrico y a dos pasos de la estación de Rossio para poder visitar Sintra en el cercanías. Habitación confortable y ducha de gran tamaño. Detalles buenísimos como que el minibar ya esté incluido y lo repongan a diario, así como el pase al SPA y saunas sin pagos adicionales (masajes aparte, evidentemente). También tenían una pequeña biblioteca de Pessoa en una de las plantas.
Múltiples y buenos restaurantes en los alrededores, por ello no tuvimos necesidad de usar el restaurante propio del hotel y tampoco comprobamos los desayunos puesto que ya salíamos de ruta pronto y almorzábamos por el camino.
Algo más de ventilación en el baño estaría bien,. un extractor de aire sincronizado con la luz interior, por ejemplo.

We needed a place for one night on the end of a trip to Portugal. We picked this hotel due to it having conjoined rooms. The place was great. What we really liked were the rooftop bar (with welcome drinks included) and the minibar drinks included in our room rate. We didn't try the food at the hotel, instead eating our locally.
If you know Lisbon, this hotel is in a great place, near a Kiosk for late night beverages outside. Really good all round. I have recommended to others and will be back!
