Location was great, good value for money

I have to travel to Maidstone for work and it's a hateful journey (M6, M40, M25 and so on) and as far as I can deduce an awful place to visit. Its only redeeming feature is this hotel which has a nice approach from the outside and it's set within pleasant grounds due to it being a golf course. The amenities are excellent and I make full use of the gym, sauna and swimming pool. All the staff are pleasant and the restaurant is excellent, offering a wide variety of dishes which are all enjoyable. I stayed during the recent heatwave and thankfully the room had aircon and the bar was serving ice cold drinks.
Unlike other trips my room overlooked the front car park which was disappointing.

Function room in use next to rooms which was very noisy in the early evening.
Very noisey people at night in rooms and corridors.

Nice location
Shower was broken , not the first time we have have issues with our stays
Quality or the rooms and there fittings are lacking maintenance and attention to detail
