The location was wonderful. The breakfast was great. We enjoyed the rooftop bar. Our room was large and comfortable. The staff was very nice.
Despite the tiny elevator that can hold a maximum of 2 person at a time, there were a LOT of stairs. There were half a flight of stairs to get to the elevator, half a flight of stairs to get to our room, a few steps up and down near the elevator, a random step here and a random step there. There were a lot more stairs than we expected. It was also a bit of a maze for us to find our rooms, so I do not recommend it for the specially challenged. My mother was unable to navigate the hotel on her own during our 48 hour stay.

Really central location to be able to walk to the key Florence attractions. Helpful and friendly staff with a great rooftop bar! The rooms were really comfortable and clean.

The location and breakfast were wonderful. The view from the rooftop was beautiful and the breakfast was good. We ate up there each day . The room we stayed in for our last night had a 14th century fresco on our ceiling. The ancient building is full of wonderful architecture and amazement.
The first room we were in for 3 nights was unclean. Even though the building is very old it can still be clean. The light switches and door frames were all smudged and dirty. There was food or throw up splattered along the baseboard that hadn't been cleaned. I complained and they took care of it but that made for an uncomfortable stay.
