The property hold his reputation. It was a very pleasant stay
We stayed at the Londra for two nights and the location is fantastic — right on the water, close to San Marco, and the rooms and service inside the hotel were genuinely nice. That part of the stay was excellent.
Where we ran into trouble was with the concierge desk. We arranged a private water taxi transfer through the concierge and were originally planning to arrive via Fusina, but had a last-minute change of plans and ended up arriving from Tronchetto instead — a much closer pickup point. Despite the shorter distance, we were charged the exact same €300, nearly double the going rate for that route. That inconsistency made it clear the price wasn't based on the actual transfer at all.
We also asked the concierge for a restaurant recommendation and were sent to what turned out to be a clear tourist trap — mediocre food at inflated prices, the kind of place that thrives on commission referrals rather than repeat customers.
The hotel itself deserves its reputation, but I'd recommend arranging your own water taxi in advance and doing your own restaurant research (or asking for "where locals eat") rather than relying on the concierge for either.
