This is an old hotel in a spectacular location. The rooms reflect the character of the hotel. The staff were pleasant, welcoming and helpful. The hotel provides a secure space to lock bikes which was important for us.
The hotel charges top prices based on its excellent location as such it isn't the best value for money but still affordable for a short stay.

The location is great--right in the middle of the old city with everything close by. The common areas were pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay with decent fresh-baked bread and croissants.
The hotel is definitely not 4-star--more faded and in need of attention. The closets had mould and particle board shelving with the laminate peeling off. The ceiling panels were not properly installed and exposed to the masonry above. (See photos). The shower door did not function effectively and water ran over the floor. The safe did not work. Carpeting needs to be replaced.
