Most of the staff were outstanding. Very friendly, helpful, eager to serve. The food was good. A bit expensive by Colombian standards, but understandable as the hotel is not easy to provision. The cocktails were really quite good. It is real easy to run up quite a tab at the bar! The pool was nice, and an essential component to staying cool.
The location is very isolated. Getting there is not as simple as it could be. The Boat service is not easily available. Driving is 2 hours from the airport and takes you through some of the more depressing and chaotic parts of Cartagena. Once you arrive at the hotel there is no alternative for entertainment or eating. You are stuck in the hotel. Is it nice? Sure. But you have to be ready to disconnect and see the same menu at each meal.

The beach was great and right there with nice beds. the room had an opening in the door, but due to airco we were not bothered by muscito's. Pool was to the warm side. Restaurant was great, play some cards because the weight can be somewhat long.

The staff was so nice, the food was amazing.
1 day before our stay, the hotel cancelled our reservation saying that they couldn’t charge my card. Although I was using the same card on a daily basis without any problems and per booking.com policies I had 24hours to update my card details, I did it in one hour. However, the hotel did not accept that and said they did not have availability. Then they said we could come one day later and sent us a separate link for payment. We tried 4 different credit cards but they did not work as their payment system was giving an error. We were on our way to baru and left without any place to stay which destroyed our short holiday.
Also the sea is not as good as it is shown in the pictures.
