Location was really great - spotless clean - owner was so very friendly and welcoming. 3 minute from train station - 10 mins to the centre.

The best part of staying at Hotel Romano was the staff. Very friendly and accommodating. They even set up the room with a balloon and decorations for my birthday. It was such a lovely gesture. The location was good. The room was clean and spacious, and had the basic necessities. There were bus stops nearby and a metro at walking distance. Several restaurants and cafes just outside the door.
The lighting in the room was quite dark to my liking. The lift stops in between the room levels, so you would still take the stairs though not the entire way up or down. It would be nice to improve the sound proofing in the room as the sounds from the restaurants outside and the constant sirens in Rome can be heard inside the room.

The location was prime!
The a/c was a window unit. It only cooled the bedroom, which was tiny. The bathroom was left feeling so hot. You have to send your luggage up by itself since you and your luggage won't fit together. Be ready for the surprise city tax fee in cash only.
