Clean, Executive Apt in heart of Victoria - Old Town\/China Town. Super Quiet!
About this condo rental
Situated in Victoria, this attractive condo for $166 per night is a great option for your next vacation. ***Free Indoor, Secure Parking*** License Number 00037262 This unit is located in a new building on the corner of Herald and Government. Across the street from China Town and in the CBD. When you enter the unit, immediately on the right is the washroom with a deep tub and shower. There is also a brand new washer and dryer located in the closet. To the left is the kitchen and living room. There is an island with 4 chairs for dining and entertaining. The fridge is brand new as well as all the kitchen tools. On the wall in the living room is a 63 inch TV with basic cable and complimentary Netflix, Amazon Video and the Disney Channel. There is also a queen sized sofa bed in the living room. Behind the smoked glass partition is the bedroom with another queen sized bed. Outside the south facing doors is the newly surfaced deck and some chairs and a table. The entire unit is hardwood without any carpet. We only use organic cleaners for cleaning the condo and for the bathroom amenities. There is complimentary high speed internet Wifi available for free Double-decker buses, afternoon tea, homes that look like castles, and pubs with names like the Sticky Wicket and the Penny Farthing... Victoria has long traded on its British affiliations. But while the fish-and-chips remain first class and summer cricket games still enliven Beacon Hill Park, the days when Victoria was more British than Britain are long gone. In Victoria 2.0, the food culture embraces fusion, the beer leans toward craft brews and the abundance of bicycles seems to have more in common with Holland than England. It's still one of the most British cities in North America, but there's more to Victoria than tearooms, antique shops and galleries (though there are plenty of those). Driven by the younger generation, the city has sprouted a collection of cool shops, authentic coffee bars and unique restaurants. It also has more cycling routes than any other Canadian city, providing a great way to explore the picturesque location (and avoid an afternoon of antique shopping).

I had great, relaxing stay at this comfortable apartment. I was in town for a cycling event and really enjoyed the location. It is nearby bike paths and most importantly, a short walk to some excellent places for coffee and dining. The suite is very clean and modern looking and everything was organized very thoughtfully. I was not left wanting for anything. The check-in process was smooth and easy and communication with owners timely and top notch. Five stars.

This property was spotless and well stocked with everything we needed. The large balcony was a huge bonus. And we were right in the middle of everywhere we wanted to walk to. I would definitely come back again. In fact we probably will! The only thing I would mention is the no air conditioning - which most of the year is not a problem and certainly not a problem when we were there, but could be if the weather was hotter. There were 2 fans available which might suffice. But this would not prevent us from returning. We loved it. Thank you!

Everything about our experience staying at 601 Herald unit 302 deserves rave reviews. From the detailed description of entry and exit to the checking in to be sure we were settled and didn’t need anything. The unit is very clean with a modern comfortable feel with everything you need available. The bed and the pull out both comfortable and the linens were nice as well. Walking distance to town. Above all, we felt safe. Walking to and from the unit, entering and exiting as well as while in the building and unit. Will definitely recommend and would absolutely book and stay again.

Perfect condo exactly as described. Location was perfect for having a car ( ferried in from Port Angeles) , secure gated underground parking — easy walking distance to all of downtown Victoria.

Great place for everything except it really needs AC - the beautiful big windows just blast the sun in and the shades were up when we came in and got blasted with hot air when we opened the door. We couldn't get it to cool down -- still 30 degrees at night with the windows open. Otherwise perfect!

The condo was clean and bright and a pleasure to call home for 5 days. Beds and bedding were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and I'd stay here again, if possible, on my next visit.
Check-in and check-out were straightforward as long as you followed instructions.

This place was AMAZING. Not only is the location perfect to Chinatown AND to downtown Victoria (it's an 11 min walk or you can take a water taxi, which is right down the road and to the left), it was quiet and clean.
The BEST breakfast place is like a 2 min walk down the street and you are close to transit (but if you are able to walk; I recommend if the weather is great!!)
The place itself is easy to find, check in is super easy (just make sure you read all the instructions). The apartment is clean, it's organised and it has a lot to offer in terms of what you would need for a short term rental (i.e. toaster, kettle, cutlery, etc).
Highly recommend if you need a place close to downtown! Would love to stay here again. :)

Really enjoyed our stay! Place was the perfect size for the two of us. Located close to the downtown area. We could walk pretty much everywhere we wanted to go, as we were walk-ons from the ferry. Bed was very comfortable. Place was well equipped! Thank you to our hosts!

First of all, I have to say that this is a great space and very well appointed. Paul was very accessible when needed.
I did have a few issues. I found both check in and check out to be confusing. Check out is laborious if you are a single traveler. You will need to get everything completely out of the building, park on the street, and then come back into the unit to leave the keys. Probably not as big of a deal if you have multiple people.
The building is secure, however, the first night I had 4 police officers knock on the door due to a violent domestic disturbance on my floor. The perpetrator also broke the main glass entry door. That was a bit unnerving and I was glad I had stayed in the unit that evening.
Paul did come by the next morning to fill me in on what was going on. Other than those things it was a great space in a very walkable location.

The apartment was very clean, confortable and had everything that we needed for our stay in Victoria. The location was great, easy walk into downtown and close to lots of restaurants and shops. We loved all the modern features in the apartment too. We will definitely book again for our next trip to Victoria!

Had a great week in this very comfortable, quiet apartment. Love this area as there are so many restaurants, coffee shops, breakfast places within a few minutes walk and it felt very safe. You can actually just park the car in the underground parking and forget about it!

My husband and I decided we were going to take a quick trip to a location neither of us had been before. We both work long hours and really don’t have a lot of time to take an extended vacation but for our anniversary we thought an overnight stay would be nice. This property was perfect! Clean and bright, walking distance to Chinatown and various shops. Easy to get to from the ferry. We had a slight issue with access into the building but was able to reach the owner without any problems. It just enhanced the fact that the building is very secure! We will definitely come back to Victoria and hopefully this property is available when we return.

Fantastic property, located on the edge of Victoria’s historic Chinatown and within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Sadly, the weather put a damper (pun intended) on outdoor activities but the unit was very clean and well equipped for a the rainy days 😊

We enjoyed our stay at this clean and comfortable property. Everything was very well maintained. We arrived late in the evening and were pleased with the ease of our check-in (the clear instructions were much appreciated). We had never stayed in Chinatown before and were happy with the building (good security) and neighborhood. This unit has a large balcony and although the weather did not permit sitting out, we enjoyed overlooking a very pretty small garden. We look forward to returning.

Everything was great. Was able to walk around Victoria, to the harbor area and to lots of great restaurants. Gave it a 4 on check in since my code didn’t work, a lady living in the building helped us in before I had a chance to send a message to the host. We did have an operator error on the coffee machine, and owner responded within a few minutes, with an offer to come by, but by then we had figured it out.

Paul and Takayo’s condo was perfect for my husband and me for our 3 nights in Victoria. Centrally located at Chinatown and near many good restaurants and shops, it was a short walk to the harbor and easy to navigate on foot. The condo was quite comfortable, quiet, well equipped and building secure with garage parking on site. Paul was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Recommend this place without reservation!
