The resort was great in terms of facility, hospitality, location. It boats being a beach side property in its truest sense. Once you checkin you can relax and just chill at the resort. So in that way it’s really great.
There were way too many Gecko’s. If you are averse to reptiles this place is not for you. A lizard fell on our head when we opened balconies door and had to call the reception for removing them atleast once in a day. Just made it a bit challenging to freely walk around n enjoy our room.

The staff was absolutely amazing! Kenny truly saved our trip by giving us excellent tips for hikes and beaches — especially valuable since the resort's beach has been closed due to bad weather since August. The hotel itself is good, but it's starting to look a bit dated and has lost some of that five-star shine. I'm sure it was a breathtaking property in its heyday, and it may well be a victim of its own success. On a brighter note, the breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety, and the food at the restaurant was tasty, with vegan options and attentive staff ready to cater to your every need. Overall, the resort is very beautiful and tastefully decorated — a wonderful stay despite a few signs of age.
The beach was closed, but the resort failed to inform us upfront. The villas could use a bit of maintenance, as they are getting old — but still, I would definitely go back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Beautiful Resort with Truly Exceptional Vietnamese Hospitality
We absolutely loved our stay at Ocean Bay Resort in Phu Quoc. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how warm, attentive, and genuinely kind everyone was. The service was exceptional—true five-star Vietnamese hospitality. The staff seemed to anticipate what we needed and always made us feel welcomed and well taken care of without ever being intrusive.
The resort itself is absolutely gorgeous. The grounds are lush and beautifully maintained, with a peaceful tropical setting right by the sea. The entire property has a natural, romantic charm that makes you immediately feel like you’re on vacation.
Our room was beautiful, clean, neat, and very comfortable. We also really enjoyed the food. Having a delicious meal by the sea, surrounded by the beautiful scenery and ocean breeze, was one of those simple experiences that made our stay even more memorable.
What made Ocean Bay especially special was the combination of the beautiful property, great food, and wonderful people. You can stay at many beautiful resorts, but exceptional hospitality is what makes a place memorable—and the staff here truly delivered that.
Ocean Bay was one of the highlights of our time in Phu Quoc. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing, romantic resort with outstanding Vietnamese hospitality.
