It's not a 5 star flash resort....it's quite rustic with traditional style bungalows and there's no swimming pool but it was recommended to me by someone who stayed here before. I wanted somewhere natural and close to the beach and this was perfect
Great natural setting and lovely site ....we stayed in the Reef House and it's big! Suitable for 2 couples with a large entertaining space between the 2 bedrooms.
The bathrooms are outside spaces but are really practical for this beach style living. Always had hot water and it was actually quite fun .
The staff here are awesome ....super helpful and nothing was too much trouble....they really looked after us . We had to check out early on our last day and made sure we had take away breakfast boxes of pastries and fresh fruit and made us drinks. Mr Doi checked up on how we were getting on daily and was available to help with trips and suggestions for activities.
Breakfast is superb at Mango Bay and included. We didn't need to eat during the day after this meal.... lots of cooked options, lovely fresh fruit, yoghurt, granola, cakes and pastries, juices, great coffee.
We visited during the rainy season and were quite lucky. It did rain a few times but we went and relaxed on the beach every day we weren't doing an activity or tour. Beach is kept clean but waves were strong this time of year....we are all good swimmers and like surfing so didn't mind....some days the waves were pretty good and had the beach to ourselves. There are staff keeping an eye out for you though and would advise on sea conditions if they thought it was too rough.
There's quite a bit of wildlife here...we saw lots of different lizards, toads, frogs, huge butterflies, a praying mantis, a snake and a flying squirrel which we loved....nature in Vietnam is part of the experience and Mango Bay has it.
There's free morning Yoga, bikes, kayaks , bodyboarding for the waves and nice shady loungers on the beach.
We loved it here but some people might find it a bit basic. The restaurant is quite expensive for Vietnam but we ate here a few times in the evening and it's was really great food and the outside space overlooking the sea is worth a premium. Compared to Europe or America it's still excellent value.

Excellent location and wonderful staff. Quite, peaceful location, nice rooms. Though some rooms could have bigger for the price, but the overall experience is just over-powering. Awesome Team Mango Bay.

Beautiful setting, great bungalows, very original and immersed in nature
Not about the property but the sea was disgustingly dirty, full of plastic, but the fault of the resort of course
