I was a little concerned about staying in a hotel with no staff or front desk, but everything worked seamlessly. All relevant info was communicated well in advance, and check-in and check-out were easy. I loved that we could help ourselves to additional towels and coffee pods, and I also appreciated that the room had both a coffee maker and a kettle. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was fantastic. For such a compact room, everything was thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of large and small storage drawers and hooks to hang bags and coats. Also, you really cannot beat the location: a quiet street in the heart of the Castro, with tons of restaurants, shops, and cafes steps away. The roof deck was lovely, with incredible views! I also liked that room cleaning was available (free) on request, as I often feel it isn't necessary for short stays.
We did not like that the bed was tucked into an alcove (wall on two sides of the bed), making it impossible for one person to get out of bed without waking up the other. Since one or both of us usually get up at least once a night to go to the bathroom, my husband ended up sleeping on the sofa bed (not the most comfortable). If you and your partner both sleep through the night or aren't light sleepers, this may not be an issue, but it was a problem for us. The room would've been ideal for one person but didn't work great for two because of the bed position.

The location.
Modern building and interiors
It is a noisy area. My unit was on the 2nd floor and the noise from the bar downstairs and the machines in the back is constant. It’s not suitable for a relaxed stay.
The service also takes 1 day to change sheets and clean and it works on request.
