Nestled in Mission Beach, this charming condo for $500 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Tucked away in a quiet, tree-lined court, Playa del Terry is a spacious 1400 sq ft 3bd/2ba condo for short- or long-term rental in South Mission Beach. The property is located steps (1 min) away from the volleyball courts at the southern-most end of the boardwalk, with the beach on one side and the bay on the other, and a short bike ride from Belmont park (10 min ride). The neighborhood is less chaotic than most of the area, making this location ideal for anyone who wants to sample the many activities but escape to a calm retreat when it's time to unwind. The private outdoor patio has a fire pit and barbecue, next to a pathway where you can chat with friendly neighbors. The condo is on the second story, with two private staircases and entrances, and an open, wrap-around floor plan that situates two bedrooms and a bath on one side of the unit, and the master on the opposite side. The living room has a "tree house" feel, perched over the patio with view of its palm trees and foliage. While the windows brighten the space with natural light, there are privacy and black-out shades. The kitchen is fully stocked, and toiletries and beach towels are also provided. This condo is owner-ran by a local San Diegan who will be available to answer questions promptly and ensure your stay is wonderful. Here are a few important notes to make sure this is the right place for your vacation: No A/C: Like most of the units in Mission beach, there is no A/C. As reflected in the reviews, this has not a problem for previous guests, thanks to the San Diego temperate climate and coastal breezes. Parking: There is one designated parking space. It is narrow, beneath the condo, and accessed through the alley, so it requires a little maneuvering. The owner provides tips for how to back into the spot, and we've been able to fit full-sized sedans, SUVs, and minivans with care. There is additional parking on the street and in nearby lots, but during weekends and holidays, parking is hard to find at the beach! Our first time in south Mission Beach we enjoyed how quiet it was. The condo was a perfect set up for our family beds were super comfortable the lay was simple and perfect. Kitchen had everything we needed just wish a larger skillet was available but we made due with what we had. The local restaurants close by were excellent. Shirt walk to the beach. Neighbors were friendly and we love our early morning coffe and later day drinks on the patio. I would highly recommend this place to families. Megan was excellent and quick to answer any question or if anything came up. Love this place thank you Megan your home is wonderful

My family (adult kids, teens and labradoodle) had the most amazing time. We stay in a house ever summer on the San Diego beach’s and this house is at the top of our list. Great layout, lots of room and outdoor space. Steps from the beach and the bay and great parking. Our family who live in San Diego came to visit and loved the house. Owner was easy to communicate with and accommodating. We plan to stay here again.

Our stay was for the family. We brought the kids and grandkids. Walking distance to Belmont Park. Truth be told, it was faster to walk there, than to deal with parking there. The rental was furnished well furnished, including a toaster and coffee maker. Essentials where I come from.

This was a great place not only for its proximity to both the bay side and beach side but it was well appointed with everything you would need to have a fun family getaway. Our pets really loved it too!

Enchanting!
The process was smooth and easy. The stay was delightful and exceeded our expectations. The parking challenges were explained ahead of time so we were prepared for that. The space is opened, airy, clean with beautiful foliage as a view. The beach is an easy walk just a few short steps away. The communication was impeccable which made our experience even better. We enjoyed our stay immensely!! Thank you! Can’t wait to get back 😊

Great access to the beach and the bay!
The description of this listing is spot on! The host, Megan, is super responsive. We had one small question about the window not opening in the front bedroom and she answered in minutes. (The fan in that bedroom did not work making the room a bit stuffy). Overall, a very comfortable place to enjoy Mission Beach!

Excellent South Mission stay
We have been coming to South Mission for 40 years and have stayed at many rentals. We enjoyed this location - as, we were there to play Volleyball and the permanent sand courts were just 200 yards away. Everything was clean and ready for us. We would definatley stay again.

We absolutely adored this property! The description of the listing and was accurate. We came in Thursday evening and left Sunday afternoon. There was no need for us to contact the host for anything. The location is amazing as the beach was a short walk away. There are plenty of places to eat and bars if you’re interested. Belmont park is not far, I would suggest taking the long walk vs parking during busy weekends. Being that we were the first guest for this vrbo listing, there are a few suggestions for the host as well as future guest. The host is accurate when describing the parking. It is not suitable for a family with a standard SUV, a small car or compact vehicle will suffice. We found the garbage cans fairly easily but I would suggest including the location in the handbook. I would also include direction for the linens. We have stayed in quite a few homes and found the method of removing the sheets and placing them in the laundry room to be best and folding the comforters and leaving them at the edge of the bed. There is plenty of pots and pans and dishes. We noticed that there are spices in the cabinet as well. This place was pretty clean, just some light dusting will do. In the master shower, one end of the metal drain is protruding so it is possible to cut your foot if not paying attention. We used towels as bath mats, as the floors were slippery. The master shower does need a little attention as far as sealing cracks and getting off residues. The fan in the front bedroom did not work. Overall, once those minor details are addressed we think that most people would love the place as much as we did! I would stay here again during our next trip in March.
