About this house rental

Situated in East Naples, this attractive house for $272 per night is a great choice for your next break. The Nauticus, as we call it, is in a prime location. Just 1.5 Miles to 5th Ave South and the beach! This home is just around the corner from downtown, the beach and Tin City, the Naples old historical district. 5th Ave South offers plenty of shopping and a buzzing restaurant and Oaks Farm is also just a short walk right around the corner. It has groceries as well as a variety of foods to choose from that are already prepared for you when you walk in. From steaks and seafood to pizza and cheeseburgers with your choice of fresh toppings. The closest beach is Naples Beach. It has a huge pier that features fishing, playful dolphins, and also has concession, restrooms, showers, the whole shabang! Tin City is where you can catch the Naples Princess for a dinner cruise and some wonderful sight seeing. You're very likely to see dolphins on this cruise. You’ll also get some views of Port Royal featuring up to $60,000,000 homes. You can also catch the water taxi here that makes stops at all of the bars / restaurants on the water. You can get on and off all you like. Or, you can also catch the Double Sunshine. It’s less expensive than the Princess as it does not do the dinner but you still have access to snacks, beer, wine, etc., onboard. Or, if you'd rather have dinner on the water at Pinchers or the Riverwalk in Tin City, you can catch this cruise right there at the dock thereafter. I’ve seen dolphins on this cruise every time and you'll also get some wonderful views of Port Royal as you tug along to the mouth of the Gulf. The magnificent Everglades is just a hop, skip and a jump away where you can find several airboat outfits for the time of your life. We hope you enjoy your stay! Lastly, this a home had experienced a flood due to hurricane Ian. The good news is that now the home has all new furniture, beds, and appliances. The only things lacking now fridge has not yet been connected to the water and we have not yet put new sod in the back yard, but we're working to get that done. We also intend to get a new dock in but dock contractors in the area are still trying to catch up after the hurricane. For these reasons we have discounted our rates. We're working to get all of these done as soon as possible. In the meantime, we do hope you enjoy your stay and please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!

The house is in the most amazing location if you are wanting to be close to the water and marina. The house needs a little work if you want to be able to sit outside and see the water since some of the storms have moved some trees around. The house has all the things you need and was the perfect layout for our family of 6.

We weren’t at the actual house during the day a lot, but it was a good house for evenings. Cute and fit our needs. The host was very prompt on answering and accommodating with any concerns/issues that arose. A small issue with it getting warm in the house during middle of the day, but the host is checking into this! Some other small things need to be tackled to finish their home repairs, but it was clean! Can’t change location, but it wasn’t exactly what we expected.. overall we had a good week and appreciated the stay

We were the first customers to rent this property after a fairly extensive renovation. The rental could have benefitted from a close inspection walk through. There were a number of items that just weren't up to par. We discovered these discrepancies over several days. Most were not major items, but added together were worthy of a report to the host. We decided that, rather than bother the host with a bunch of little items, we'd just make a list & send it to them later. We also didn't want to have a parade of workers in the rental while we were trying to relax. We did contact the host to let them know that there was no cold water to the kitchen sink. Lots of hot water, but no cold. The host sent someone over immediately & he fixed the problem in a few minutes. The cold water had been connected to the dishwasher instead of the faucet. The house was clean, but we did find a hinge and some rusty screws sticking straight up in the back yard which could have caused injury to people or pets. Worse, someone working at the property had left house keys hanging in the lock to the shed, which were door keys to the property, which could have been a big security problem. New couch in the living room, and a big screen TV were great. Beds were comfortable. The property itself is in a great location, a quiet residential area, 5 minutes from Tin City and 5th Avenue. A great dog park was about 7 min away. Close to grocery shopping and pharmicies. Communication with the property manager was excellent. Easy to reach and responsive. I'm sure the host is concerned about the list of items that we sent & am certain they will address them in a timely manner. I really struggled with this review, since the host does seem to be caring and attentive. But, at the same time there were things that affected our visit that could have been remedied prior to our arrival, had the host known about them. Following a renovation, there are always items that get missed. As stated, I believe the host is truly concerned about correcting discrepancies as soon as possible.
