This home enjoys complimentary use of the Moving Mountains shuttle, mid-November through mid-April, using the convenient shuttle app to schedule pickups. Please note that the shuttle is not able to go up the driveway and will safely pick up guests at the street level. Located in the prominent Highlands subdivision of Breckenridge, Switchback Lodge has undergone an extensive and exciting remodel, offering luxurious mountain living and the perfect combination of mountain privacy and proximity to historic downtown, a short 5-minute drive. Renowned for its spectacular mountain views, unparalleled luxury, and convenience to hiking, skiing, and town, this 6,200-square foot home includes remarkable architectural design and attention to detail. The home is situated on 4.5 beautiful acres, backing up to the National Forest and endless hiking trails. An open-concept main floor is magazine-worthy with spectacular beams and high ceilings, modern lighting, hardwood floors, and stylish decor. New tall windows in the front of the house bring the mountains and plenty of natural light inside, allowing guests to relax and soak in the views. The outside beckons with a new expansive covered deck, a sought-after feature in luxury homes, to celebrate the surrounding beauty and relax in contemporary outdoor furniture. Enjoy a new gas grill and outdoor seating to dine al fresco with friends and family. A completely new spacious gourmet kitchen has custom cabinetry, double sinks, and plenty of wow factor. A chef’s dream, this beautiful space has both a center island and a wrap-around bar with ample workspace and extra seating for onlookers. The kitchen opens to a sophisticated dining area with seating for 12. The lower level at Switchback Lodge is just as spectacular with a cozy and chic family room with plush couches and a new 85-inch TV and home theater system, the perfect place for family movie night or to watch the big game. Just outside on the lower patio is a private hot tub, where you can soak weary muscles beneath a starry sky. Switchback Lodge sleeps 12 with its five exquisite bedroom suites, all with TVs. On the main level is the impressive primary king suite with new wood floors, a fireplace, and a sitting area with stunning views. An indulgent ensuite bath has a soaking tub, dual sinks, beautiful tilework, a bidet, and a dual walk-in shower. A beautiful king suite on the main level has an ensuite. Remote workers will love the new private office space on the upper level with a separate access stairway. This gorgeous space has a built-in desk, a fireplace, and panoramic views of the Tenmile Range. In addition, there are five other workstations around the house with ultra-high-speed WIFI, creating the ideal work environment for remote workers and longer rentals. Four-wheel drive is REQUIRED in the winter months. IN HOME AMENITIES All Moving Mountains properties have WIFI and come fully stocked with paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, tissues), bathroom toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap), and detergents (dish, dishwasher, and laundry) as well as clean bed linens and towels. In addition, the kitchens are stocked with aluminum foil, plastic wrap, trash bags, sponges, soap, salt and pepper, coffee, tea, cookware, bakeware, dishes, glasses, utensils, and standard small appliances. This home does not have air conditioning. Colorado's cool summer nights will keep this home comfortable by opening windows after the sun goes down, and then closing the windows and blinds during the day. We’re done several family Christmas’ in Breck, and havr been to Breck many times over with friends. By far this is our favorite house ever. I’d buy it, if it was for sale. Everything about the house was perfect, except the switchback. It unfortunately did not snow the entire week at the house, but the driveway is a switchback, and three vehicles is the max you can have, with two parked in the garage. Three vehicles was easy, but you have to be patient turning your vehicle around near the garages.

All around the nicest and best house to stay in when on vacation with another family! The moving mountains staff in Breckenridge were first class!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was very well equipped, the location and the views were great.A couple of the things that caused problems were the many steps through out the home. We had 3 people fall one somewhat serious. One of our quest fell and sprained her ankle seriously and also fell and hit her head. It basically effected their week stay with us. Two others fell from the steps leading into the garage.I enjoy grilling and cook most of our meals are cooked on a outside grill. A grill needs to be heated to at least 500 degrees and I couldn’t get the temperature up to 300 degrees. This needs to be corrected.The only other suggestion that came from many of our family and quests were the low profile toilets and that the windows needed cleaning from the outside.

Reviewer Comments: Wonderfull spacious and extremely well appointed hope with high quality finishes and exceptional spaces to converse, dine and generally enjoy each other's company. Very impressed with all the home had to offer. The pictures of the home look grand on the website and in real life, delivered beyond expectations. The only bummer part was the outdoor cooking experience is really nonexistent as the grill was simply a stand up Webber gas grill that wouldn't even heat up. I feel a home of this stature should have an outdoor kitchen or at least a high end Grill. That would be the one and only shortcoming. Every other aspect of the home was 5 star. The home was exceptionally clean and the furniture and bedding was superior. We hope to book again.

The home was beautiful and very clean. There were a few minor problems and Paragon responded quickly to see that those were resolved. We particularly liked the fact that there were three bedroom/bath areas with double sinks and plenty of bathrooms for the bunk room area. This was critical with both teenage boys and girls who want their own separate bathrooms. The views were amazing and our only disappointment was that there weren't larger outdoor areas for a table and chairs.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is beautiful... very spacious, great kitchen and awesome mountain views. However, there were some disappointments as well. We had no heat or hot water for the entire first night of our stay. That meant 50-60 degree temps inside... yikes! The management company sent out a maintenance guy but although he thought he knew how to remedy the situation, he did not. There were also several other issues (bad electrical breaker servicing kitchen, disgusting and stinky trash compactor, master shower drain clogged, grill uncovered and full of snow, hot tub headrests broken, garbage disposal not working, etc.). We have reserved many high end rental homes in the past so we expected a bit more. Perhaps the lack of readiness is related to COVID? Despite all of the little issues and the one big issue (no heat or hot water) we enjoyed the property. That being said, the management company did not offer any compensation for the main issue of freezing all night! Really?
