Stunning property! The location feels wonderfully tucked away—off the beaten path yet never inconvenient—because the resort itself offers so much that you’ll never feel isolated. Whether you want relaxation or adventure, everything you need is right on property, and it’s also the perfect home base after exploring the nearby National Parks.
During our stay, we golfed, fly fished, kayaked, paddle boarded, biked, strolled the grounds, horse-watched, and lounged by the pool. Every activity was a highlight, and the variety made it easy for the whole family to have fun together. The grounds are immaculate, and you can sense the care that goes into maintaining such a beautiful setting.
The hotel itself is gorgeous—thoughtfully designed, luxuriously decorated, and striking in every detail. Our two-bedroom suite was spacious, comfortable, and perfectly suited to a family stay. Everything about the experience felt top-tier, yet with better value compared to similar luxury resorts like the Four Seasons in Jackson Hole.
Snake River Sporting Club is truly a hidden gem. We made memories here that will last a lifetime and can’t wait to come back. My advice: visit while you can, before word spreads and prices rise—this place is very special.
Since the hotel had only just opened, there were a few growing pains during our stay. At times, staff seemed unsure of answers to simple questions, though this wasn’t the case across the board—most team members were incredible: warm, welcoming, and eager to help. The gaps seemed to be with some of the newer hires or during the late-night shifts, where training felt inconsistent.
We also noticed a slight disconnect between the Sylvan Lodge staff and the Golf Club staff. For example, those at Sylvan Lodge weren’t always familiar with the Club House rules, even though that’s where breakfast was served. It wasn’t a major issue, just a quirky overlap that will likely improve once the Lodge has its own full food license.
There were also a few operational hiccups, like our suite tripping a fuse and the coffee and water machines being down for a couple of days. Everything was fixed quickly, but at times it felt like we were part of a soft launch or “beta test.” Understandable for a brand-new property, and nothing that can’t be ironed out in the next few months.
As for the pet-friendly aspect—a huge plus!—it did feel like the setup wasn’t quite finished. We only found one pet waste station, and when we asked where dogs could be walked, we were told “anywhere,” which didn’t feel like the ideal solution for keeping such a pristine property clean. A bit more guidance and dedicated pet areas would go a long way.
That said, we truly appreciated being able to bring our pup along. Having our dog with us made the stay even more special, and once a few small kinks are worked out, this property has the potential to set the bar for luxury, pet-friendly travel.

Melhor hotel que já fiquei, vale cada centavo. O Sylvan Lodge estava terminando a reforme então me ofereceram um upgrade maravilhoso, mas pelo que vi da construção o hotel ficou maravilhoso. Tem tudo disponível lá, atendimento excelente, passei de cavalo foi uma experiência incrível
