A good experience staying at Kyoto’s traditional machiya
We are used for king bed at home, so it really not to our liking for the 2 single beds

We had plenty of room for 3 adults. The neighborhood was quiet and close to the public transportation. We appreciated having a washing machine. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioner worked really well.
Between the corner light (which we finally figured out how to turn off) and the skylight in the upper room, it was hard to stay asleep, especially in the morning.

Location was great. It was clean and presentable. Washing machine was a bonus.
It was a bit tight for a family of 4. Beds were Japanese style (which I didn’t realise when booking).
Quite noisy from neighbours. Quite pricey for the size.
